Too noisy

Great staff, breakfast and rooms - the roof top is wonderful too. Amazing and so relaxing after a long trek

The feel is more like a hostel than a hotel. Unfortunately, the location right above the station and the lack of soundproofing make the room decidedly noisy. Overall, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. Keep in mind that the station closes at 11 PM and we're supposed to leave for Machu Picchu at dawn, so the noise isn't particularly bothersome (though it's different if you want to rest in the hotel in the afternoon). Overall, it's basic but a good base in a super-tourist spot like Aguas Caliente.

A good accommodation option, right next to the train station. The beds are comfortable and clean, it's quiet, and the sound of the river is soothing. The breakfast is basic but good for starting the day. They have luggage storage since checkout is early. Recommended.

Do yourself a favor and don’t stay in this hotel if you want to get a minute of peace or sleep. It’s like you’re standing next to the train, it’s so loud when a train arrive that it’s frightening. The windows don’t keep any noise outside, it’s like sleeping outside. I’d give the cleanliness a 6/10 rating, location is ok (but oh so loud). The WiFi barely works, the walls are thin and door does not feel safe at all. Just book another hotel if you can. I just stayed here coz it was part of a tour I did.

Clean and cozy, breakfast was very basic but sufficient. Unfortunately, it was incredibly noisy. We were there on our last day after a 4-day Salkantay Trek, and we really wanted to get a good night's sleep...

Save yourself the trip to this hotel. Everything was wrong from the start. It was obvious the room hadn't been properly cleaned: we found hair in both the bathroom and on the bed. We arrived without high expectations, just wanting to take a shower and rest, but even that wasn't possible. The shower was truly unpleasant: there was only a plastic sheet separating the toilet and shower, which was covered in mold, giving a constant feeling of filth. Furthermore, the noise is unbearable. The hotel is right next to the train station, so it's impossible to sleep from 5:00 AM onwards, and the noise continues until at least 11:00 PM. It was a horrible experience. I wouldn't recommend this hotel even if it were the last option available in all of Aguas Calientes.

Our worst night in a hotel ever! Bed was dirty, no terry towel in the bathroom to dry our hands and neither a hairdryer nor a safe were available in our room. (both a must have to become a 3* hotel btw!). The noise of the train station is unbearable. We couldn't sleep good. At 4:55 AM the first train started its motor. It was deafening. And for us the night was already over. The breakfast looked so unappetizing that we decided to eat somewhere else. We recommend any other hotel in Aguas Callientes or you just sleep in your sleeping bag at the train station and save your money for a bad hotel that way. Good luck.
