Hotel Pozo del Cielo

Wonderful accommodation. Very beautiful, well-maintained grounds. The room with its rustic wooden ceiling was very cozy, and even had heating. We were never cold, even though we were there during the rainy season. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff was very friendly. The location is fantastic, right next to the ruins and a short walk to the town center. We would have loved to stay longer!

Rustic environment, romantic and very nice

We had a great time at the hotel. The room was very spacious and clean with good hot water. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious and served from 5:30 am, which was very convenient since we were leaving very early on a tour. We walked down to the city center, and along the way, you can climb up to a viewpoint at the Inca Bridge. You also pass through a market with many sculptures perfect for taking photos.

Hello travelers, I recommend this 3-star hotel located in Chivay, a 10-minute walk from the main square. It has parking, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The heating is good, and they also have thermal sheets. There's cable and a TV in the room, although I would have liked the TV to be a bit bigger, but I don't think you'll be watching TV anyway. The water is super hot, and you can adjust the temperature to your liking. The reception staff is friendly, and the food is great too; the breakfast buffet is amazing. I would like to see them add some interactive experiences within the hotel. It has a beautiful view both inside and outside the hotel, and it's easily accessible.

We really liked the hotel; it has great views, and the rooms were very, very nice. They have electric blankets on the mattresses, good views, and the staff was very friendly. Drawbacks: It's a bit far from town, and the breakfasts leave something to be desired. In short, I would stay there again. We were quite happy.

We stayed at the hotel during our tour of the Colca Valley. The hotel is a bit far from Chivay, so you can't walk to town (you can call mototaxis to go and return). The hotel has a restaurant for dinner at a good price (soups 25 PEN, pasta 45 PEN, chicken and alpaca dishes 50 PEN). We ordered alpaca with huicaina pasta, which was delicious and a generous portion. When paying, they told us there was a 5% surcharge for paying by card, so we recommend bringing soles in cash. The room was large, the bathroom was clean, and the bed was big. There are no curtains on the windows, so if your room faces inland, other guests can see you. We stayed in a room on the second floor, and everything was fine. In the morning, a lot of light came in because there were no blackout curtains. The bed was well-made with several sheets and a comforter, and we weren't cold. There's also an electric blanket that's already set up to work, but we unplugged it because it wasn't that cold. There's a heater and a hairdryer in the room. We had a good experience.
