Service at the cashier is hit or miss. Regular mistakes on the orders. The hygiene of the cooks on the hotdog/fries station is bad.

My partner's meal was good, although it's difficult to mess up eggs and toast. I was excited to try this place especially given the positive feedback, but it was by far the worst place I've had in Montreal. Firstly, the menu online is not the same as in person. They did not specify online that there is a different breakfast/lunch/dinner menu, so went in at 10 am and couldn't order lunch. As I wanted the smoked meat sandwich, I asked someone (not our waitress who didn't know the answer) how much smoked meat the side is in comparison to the sandwich. I was told that the side was the same amount, so I ordered this and a side of rye bread to make it myself. I was presented with three (yes, THREE) very thin slices of smoked meat. It was so thin and little it had no taste, the bread had more taste! I understand it is a side, but I was told it was the same amount as a usual smoked meat sandwich. Then, we waited 40 minutes for our waitress to come to us to pay our bill. She never came once to check on us or refill my water. They then tried to charge me for coffee I didn't ask for and never drank. Extremely unhappy, worst smoked meat in all of Montreal and horrible service. I have nothing positive to say for me.

Very authentic place. Although not all diners have elevated hygiene standards, this place really stands out. It also has a very interesting interior atmosphere. Their poutine and hot dogs are very good.

Food is average fare considering they have everything but the kitchen sink on there. You go to Greenspot to be transported back in time. Great original décor, great service and all atmosphere

A place like this is becoming increasingly rare in Montreal. You can feel the history and authenticity of the place. It's truly a lovely spot that serves Quebec classics beautifully. My poutine was one of the best I've ever had, and I also really enjoyed my steamed bun and my pogo. The only slight downside is that the restaurant is a victim of its own popularity and was completely full. This meant it took a little while to get my food, but the service was good.

This was our second time here and we came back because really like the atmosphere and the retro vibes dining here. The seating booths are cool and the kitchen and restaurant style is too. The food portions are good as well as the service. They have a very large menu, including breakfast potatoes until 11, and then the breakfast menu is limited afterwards. Personally, my sister and I, dont like their fries. Their fries are largely cut, bland in taste and are a bit dense in the inside--its not like the oily, salty type u munch on. It felt like we always had to add salt, ketchup and vinegar for a taste. Their coleslaw is very basic too, its not the creamy type. Its really just raw cut cabbages. However, you could add vinegar for some taste. I could understand that this is their style and how people like their fries and coleslaw this way, it just wasnt it for my sister and I.
