It was fine staying here, but the rooms and building need some refreshment. The self-check-in system was okay, but it can certainly be improved.

I didn't stay there, however I feel that it is well located and the hotel is very nice from the outside.

The virtual reception was very surprising compared to the photos. There was no elevator, and two separate entrances didn't indicate the room locations, which was a real shame when you have heavy luggage. The soundproofing was poor, and there was a problem with the toilet drainage. We had previously traveled for over 10 days in Eastern Canada, staying in 3-star hotels, and were very satisfied. This was a huge disappointment for us; the photos are really misleading, and the name "castle" is no exception!

The location is good, but the hotel is outdated. There's no one at reception; you have to contact someone by phone for everything. I opted for the "indoor" parking, but it's 300 meters away and rather gloomy and dirty. I should have found another solution. This hotel is a budget option.

It's a very reasonably priced hotel. Very basic, but we had everything we needed. Comfortable bed and pillows, TV and air conditioning that worked well, shower with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The code to open the door from the street and another specific code for the room were sent by text message without any problem. Long-term parking isn't very close, but it's acceptable.

My mom and I had a four night stay here at the start of May and it was just perfect. Honestly the value got me there and everything else exceeded expectations. We stayed in room 10, two bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Once we split the price it cost less to stay here than the super 8 in Trois-Rivières the night before. The place is a 15 minute walk to old Quebec. The rooms were clean, beds comfy, well stocked, jacuzzi tub, private patio with outstanding views, surprisingly quiet at night. They have a nice common area with fridges and freezers if you want have a cheap breakfast or reheat a lunch but there are at least 50 or more restaurants within a 20 minute walk. We had breakfast at this cute little cafe just outside the hotel door each morning anyway. The only thing that tripped up my 60+ mother was the check in is all online or thru text/phone. I personally loved it. Spend two minutes the night before checking in, then get a text with the front door code and room code the next day. Couldn't be easier in my opinion. They did say they have limited parking available but I just parked under the big national bank building for the four days. Cost 42$, and a three minute walk to the hotel. When I travel I generally try and not visit the same place twice but I'm going to make exception for Quebec City and this hotel. It really was perfect.

Marketing andsImages are well taken. Reality was... confrontational No fire system in an old building with steep winding stairs. Great location on the skirts of a livly area. Parking minimal: 2 SUV's side y side barrely fit, and my car door got scratched.
