Absolutely outrageous! The sheets don't seem to be cleaned between guests; they're covered in all sorts of hair… Mine was even torn with a rip several centimeters long! Beyond that, the floor tiles are coming loose, it's impossible to get cold water from the tap (!), and if you want to relax with a shower: forget it. The shared bathrooms on each floor could be the subject of an entire dissertation, there's so much to say. In short, many of the doors don't close properly, and it's easy to see into the stalls on either side, whether it's the toilet or the shower. The stalls are also far too small; the ceiling isn't even two meters high, and you can't open the door without standing in the shower, which means your feet get wet. I didn't think I'd be making a film reference in this comment, but everything about this building reminded me of Hawkins' supernatural experimentation lab in Stranger Things, the corridors were so gloomy, the toilets would have scared off even the most daring, and the room was enough to destroy all hope for the future.

For the cost this is a very compelling option. The rooms are clean and the staff is very helpful. The addition of some commen spaces makes this more comfortable as the rooms are quite small and sparse.

Difficult access for people with disabilities. Icy path. Abrasives have no effect.

Absolutely avoid this place. We left immediately because the cleanliness was so unacceptable. The bedding was filthy: – visible hair in the sheets, – yellowish/brownish stains on the duvet cover, – it was clear the bed hadn't been changed between guests. Under these conditions, it was impossible and inconceivable to sleep there. Whether it's a campus residence or budget accommodation, basic cleanliness is non-negotiable. The place gives an overall impression of neglect and a complete lack of hygiene. We had to leave and find another hotel at our own expense. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you value your comfort and health, stay away.

I spent two nights there and frankly, I don't understand the people who criticize this place. If someone wants more comfort, they naturally have to pay more. The value for money is excellent. Even though the building is a bit old, for such affordable prices the rooms are well-maintained and the private bathroom is clean. The location is perfect for those who want to visit the city and have inexpensive accommodation. Old Quebec is a 15-minute drive away. I recommend it!
