Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana

We had an amazing experience at Secrets Royal Beach. The staff, restaurants, ambiance, food, beach, pools, rooms were amazing. We have travelled for 30 years and I am recommending SRB to everyone. They had a mixed crowd from young to older. Lively resort with top tier service. I can’t say enough about how great the staff is. They were so nice and friendly. The entertainment was great. The entertainment/beach team was wonderful. Everyone and everything was wonderful. Some names I wrote down are: Euris,Ricardo-front desk. Luilly-luggage. Wilfredo,Cielo,Darliz-restaurants. Maria-house keeping. Luis-French restaurant. Junior from entertainment. Jeffrey from the vacation club. Luilly helped with baggage-soooo nice and helpful. Ricardo from somewhere. Sheila-at booking. I wish I could shout out everyone. Too many names to write down. And I have to add our room was ready before time in an almost sold out hotel. Staff:1000000 out of 10. THE BEST EVER!

We went here for our honeymoon and my goodness did it deliver! Upon arrival, we were greeted with warm smiles, a cooling towel, and someone to take care of our bags and direct us in the correct direction. We did go the Preferred Member Club route and we were happy that we did. The pools were noticeably cooler than the main pools, having access to the lazy river and cabanas was amazing (if you want a cabana though, make sure you get there early... they go fast!), and being able to eat at Oceana still makes my mouth water when I think about it. This resort provided us with a sign on our door saying "Honeymoon", a butler (his name is Aron... I'd HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend you request him if you can), a private pool that always stayed cool, beautiful scenery, and the utmost relaxation. Absolutely LOVED: *The service - every single person we encountered were happy, warm, and always willing to help or get us whatever we needed. *Food - cannot recommend Bordeaux for dinner enough (it's a French restaurant where the duck and lamb are absolutely mouth watering). La Riviera was an outstanding buffet where they had some of the best food whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner. I really liked the traditional beef stew and they really know how to make some pizza. Getting a burger and fries from the Barefoot Grill off the beach is also fantastic. Those fries I will dream of forever! *Beach & Pools - just gorgeous! LOVED! Be aware, sometimes you need to wait quite a bit to have your drinks delivered if you don't got to the bar yourself. *THE VIEWS!!!!! *Experiences - >>The Spa: WOW! We did a deep tissue massage and relaxing Swedish massage. Between the two, we really loved the Swedish massage!! I fell asleep on the table twice (hehe). We also did the hydrotherapy after. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this!! It is free after your service and be sure to bring a swim suit! >>Dinner Under the Stars: It is on the pricy side but we felt it was worth it! You get your own private table on the beach, right by the ocean. They set up hearts and draw hearts in the sand for a perfect photo opportunity. The food was INSANE!! We went with the passion menu with the tomahawk steak. It starts with a salad with white fish and a red wine vinaigrette. The white fish was done to perfection and still makes my mouth water any time I think about it. Then you move to a cream corn soup. Umm... I had no idea cream corn soup could be THAT good. Our entree was jumbo shrimp (done to perfection) and a tomahawk ribeye steak (a little over done but the flavor still packed a punch and the chimichurri sauce on top was SO good) with veggies and potatoes (done to absolute perfection!). We topped it off with a chocolate mousse that was in the shape of a heart surrounded by raspberry and coconut jam (OMG!!!!!). >>Dine Around Wine: This experience was okay. While we loved the wait staff and atmosphere, the food was just alright. We had a salad to start with smoked salmon (it was too smokey for me), then a seafood soup (it was okay), the entree was jumbo shrimp and a filet with veggies and potatoes (this was really, really good), and chocolate mousse in the shape of a heart with jam (this was delectable). The overall experience was romantic and set apart from everyone, which we enjoyed. >>Ocean Sanctuary: Do it... just do it!!!! 8 hours of private, beachfront views with all the amenities. DO IT! Things Left to be Desired: >>The Drinks: They were delicious! However, you need to drink quite a few before you actually start to feel a buzz. Many of the drinks we got had very little alcohol in them. >>Hibachi: The experience was fabulous but the food was overdone. >>Slippery Floors!!: The floors are beautiful but if you aren't careful, you can slip and fall when you're wet. We had a private pool and my husband feel very hard on our first night. Perhaps putting down some mats would be helpful :)

We had an amazing stay at Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional and truly made our vacation unforgettable. Our butler Alfredo went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. His hospitality made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. We also spent a lot of time at the Preferred Club swim-up bar, Drifter Pool Bar, where Sebastian and Obispo were absolutely incredible!! The resort itself was beautiful, the food was great, and the atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for a better first trip to Punta Cana and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend Secrets Royal Beach!

Love this place!!

Great accommodations, beverage and restaurant service but the butler service was lacking. We didn't ask for much but we didn't get the few things we asked for. It was unacceptable to have to make the long walk to the lobby at 10p to get bottled water because it was never delivered after asking 4 times! Also, the resort tried to charge me, again, for the spa package I purchased thru the resort online before we arrived. Thankfully I had my receipts. Now, it was a great treatment, but not for double the price. For what we paid for preferred, I should not have had any inconvenience or hassle. If we go back we won't do preferred and we're thinking we may try a different resort next time. Yes, I would recommend the resort but unless you just want the upgraded room, I wouldn't suggest getting the preferred package. Now, not all was bad... the room and view were fantastic, we loved the beach access, the food was plentiful, enough entertainment, and generally great hospitality. If you go to Show Time or see a show, ask for Maria. She was absolutely delightful and provided great service. Plus there were some appreciated extras the staff provided for our anniversary celebration and to generally make our stay comfortable. There is quite a bit of seaweed on the beach in this area, and the staff did a reasonable job cleaning the beach, which was appreciated so we could feel better to enjoy the water (they have lots of wonderful pools but I'm a beach person). So overall, again, I'd recommend this resort.

Beautiful grounds, pool & beach. Service was very good & the staff was awesome. Why a 3 star? THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE. If you love Salt, you’ll love this place.

Great resort. Food was good at most restaurants and the buffet. The location was perfect.

Secrets is ok, the food however on a scale of 1-10 is a solid 4 the breakfast is a 6 at the international buffet. No wow factor here. If you don’t upgrade to preferred you get ignored
