Hotel Marea Vista

We made a breakfast reservation, and when the bill came, the girl told us we had to leave a 15% tip because it was a reservation. Do they really not know that tips can't be demanded? Talk to your staff. I don't mind leaving a tip, but when it's presented as a requirement, it's annoying and uncomfortable. I WILL NEVER RETURN 🙌🏼

The location is great, with a fantastic view; the rooms are very comfortable, I recommend the ocean view, and the restaurants are delicious. I hesitated to book because I'd seen comments about struggling with the hot water, but the reception staff were very helpful and explained the correct way to adjust the water temperature. You just have to turn the left-hand tap a quarter turn. It's a bit pricey, but it's a great option.

Checked in on sunday asked if jacuzzi was working, we asked because we had hard 24 hours returning from a funeral. She said yes it is. She told us how to open the faucet for the hot shower.. they both walked us to our room and showed us the room, the view was amazing. Time for shower and Jacuzzi.. I went to pool area pool and jacuzzi are covered.. I asked can it be turned on ? They said yes and as Im walking to my room they come and tell me.. its really hard to turn in on, the tech is not here to turn it on, SUNDAYS its closed for maintenance. 3 bold face lies. Ok no jacuzzi time for shower.. NOPE, turned shower like she said.. I had her come in amd she said “turn it just a lil” it staid warm for 3 minutes.. went straight to cold. Im fuming because we are now stuck here😡 Be honest and forthcoming. We will drive out to eat dinner elsewhere, because I refuse to give them more of my money.
