Spark by Hilton Ames

I had a really great stay at this Hilton! There was so much attention to detail, and the swan towels are always super cute. The rooms were clean and I love the water bottle fill station near the elevator. Maizie was super accommodating, and overall a great hotel!

Loved staying here! The staff were amazing and friendly and we appreciated the above and beyond perks such as handwritten “thank you for staying with us” with a couple candies, the bow tie toilet paper etc etc. Will definitely be staying here again the next time we are in town! Highly recommend

We had a great stay at Spark by Hilton in Ames! We came in late with our one year old for some sleep. The beds were so comfortable, water pressure for the shower was great, and the staff were amazing! If we come through again, we would definitely stay again!

4:30pm 2/26/2026 get rid of the front desk guy he didnt make our reservations, he looked confused and scared to even help us and we couldnt understand anything he was saying he pretty much told us he could help us and that we have to go to another hotel... oh yea we were in their for almost 30 min before he said he cant help us for some reason definitely dont recommend this hotel

We had a wonderful stay! It was very clean. Staff were friendly. The only disappointment was not having a hot option for breakfast. It was very basic. My kids enjoy waffles, eggs, potatoes, etc.

Starting this review with saying all the staff I directly dealt with were wonderful and very kind. Booked this location while traveling a very long trip with my infant son. Cleanliness was less than average. Stink bugs in bathroom, hot water was taking quite a long time to warm up in the shower, and some of the towels had a yellow tint to them. They were all crunchy feeling with a very sour smell. The noise level was awful in the building. There were adolescent groups running around the hallways slamming doors. It woke up and startled my infant multiple times making traveling difficult when we stopped to try and get rest. Not the employees fault though, but you could hear everything on the floor. Elevator several rooms down, anyone closing their door. Only a Hilton Gold member, but will not be staying here again.

I should've investigated the new spark brand more. Although it says breakfast it only means cereal and some bread. Apple juice- they meant water. There is no coffee in rooms, not even a cup. Towels had holes. Very bare basic and not ideal since it was about the same price as the Hilton 2 miles away.

What a beautiful hotel! I really like the remodel. The hotel was spotless. I had the opportunity to stay during the Christmas season and the decorations were so fun and creative. The staff seemed happy to be there too, which speaks volumes about management. Im getting married soon and will have family and friends book at Spark.
