Playa Latitude 26 Waterfront Boutique Resort - Fort Myers

We had an amazing time and we will be back. The kayaks and the fishing rods were so nice to have. It was perfect for two people.

Arrived at this friendly establishment and received a very warm welcome (from Richard), who speaks a little French 😊. Nice room next to a harbor. The hotel offers bicycles and kayaks. Basic breakfast.

Beautiful place. We loved the option to kayak and having a coffee maker in the room. The staff was very friendly. The place was clean and welcoming. We will definitely return.

I’m not giving 0 stars only because I can’t. The receptionist treats arriving visitors terribly. If she can't handle her job—if she lacks patience and doesn't know how to treat people—she should find another line of work. The service is horrible.

Just spent 5 nights here in mid-May on a solo trip. Very relaxing! Chose this property for its location (waterfront on a quiet bay canal; easy 20 min walk to Bonita Beach), size (smaller = quieter; no kids), amenities (free kayaks, bikes, continental breakfast), and old-school motel-like vibe. This is more of a self-service AirBnB-type establishment than true "resort." But if you've done your research going in, this won't be a surprise or disappointment. Rooms are clean, if a bit worn in places and decor slightly dated. I opted to pay a bit more for a larger room (#8) with private upper-floor water views, and am glad I did! Spent most of my car-free vacation onsite simply reading, lounging, and bird- and boat-watching. Kayaked around Little Hickory Bay and Fish Trap Bay, and saw dolphins, all manner of egrets and herons, and breeding osprey. Biked one day to nearby Barefoot Beach Preserve. A bonus was being right next door to The Fish House, a popular restaurant with boaters. Good food and drinks, perfect for deck dining or getting takeout to enjoy back at the hotel. Despite being immediately adjacent, no restaurant noise at all (except for white noise of cooking exhaust after 10a). No food odors. Housekeeping staff very friendly and responsive. Overall, a sweet little property, an enjoyable shoulder season stay, and a place to consider if you seek a quieter remnant of "Old Florida."

Our stay at Latitudes 26 Resort was absolutely amazing. The gardens were beautifully maintained and created such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere everywhere you walked. The entire property felt like a hidden tropical getaway. The staff was incredible — everyone was so welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The free amenities were such a wonderful bonus and made our stay even more enjoyable. Everything about this resort was peaceful, comfortable, and thoughtfully done. Whether you’re looking to relax, unwind, or just enjoy a beautiful environment, this place is perfect. We truly had an amazing experience and cannot wait to come back!

We stayed in room 302. The room itself was clean, but I was really bothered by the fact that the windows were non-existent. I can't tell if it's night or day. There was shower gel and hand soap in the bathroom. The toilet paper was so thin that I've never seen it like this anywhere. Recommendation - please put normal toilet paper. Refrigerator, microwave, TV, wifi, coffee pot. Wifi coverage was poor at times. The bed was soft and it was nice to sleep on it. Traffic noise from the street could be heard at times. Breakfast should be served from 7:30, not 8:30. Since we needed to get out early, we couldn't wait that long.
