I love my time here clean and quiet

Staff was great—no issues there. But the hotel itself is definitely showing its age and could use some updates. The overall look and feel is pretty outdated, and with the “H” out on the sign, it’s currently the “ampton Inn,” which kind of sums things up.

I do a lot of travel for work. This hotel by far had the best group of employees that I have dealt with in a while. Very helpful and accommodating. Even the General Manager made himself visible and took the extra steps to make sure I had everything I needed. Housekeeping staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The three employees that I actually got their names were Gabriella( Front Desk), Christina and Marcy. Great customer service. Thank you for making my stay more comfortable. I will definitely be staying at this hotel when I am in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area

Arrived at 4:40 pm and was informed room wouldn't be ready for at least another half hour. Nothing offered to rectify the situation. Ended up not being able to check in until around 5:30 and the room was still dirty.

I don’t write a lot of reviews, but I feel my experience warrants one. On my first night, a man, who was clearly having a psychotic breakdown, tried to break into my hotel room. Luckily, I always use the deadbolt as otherwise, he would have easily managed to break in. He was yelling obscenities, and making threats, so I called the front desk to report him, but when nobody answered, I had to call 9/11. I explained to the operator that he was likely having an episode as I knew they’d send medics who would be able to sedate him. The police arrived very quickly and handled the situation. I had no idea what was happening as nobody, but the police, reached out to me. I eventually called the front desk again and had been told that the man had been sent back upstairs but the police were now dealing with him. Yes, because I called them…The response from management was bizarre. I should never have been the one to call police in that situation. I learned later that the man did have a breakdown and I hope he got the help he needed, but one of the managers mentioned that nobody answered as one of the staff was trying to locate the man. Like what? Just call the police and have the professionals handle it. Why were they trying to track down an unstable person themselves? I’m just glad the man didn’t attack anyone before the police arrived. Hopefully, this experience will force them to update their protocols. Always deadbolt your doors.
