What we had hoped would be a nice, relaxing two-night stay at the Tremont House turned into an extremely disappointing experience. We have always wanted to stay at the Tremont House, so we finally decided to splurge on a weekend there. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of what we expected from a hotel of this caliber and at nearly $400 per night. On our first day, the toilet in our room wouldn’t flush. Thankfully, maintenance did come up and repair it, but that was only the beginning of our problems. On our second night, there was a loud party in the ballroom directly beneath our room. The bass was so incredibly loud that our walls and floors were literally vibrating. It continued until almost midnight, making it nearly impossible to relax or get any meaningful sleep. When we contacted the front desk, we were essentially told, “Sorry, the hotel is completely full, so we can’t move you nor be very sympathetic to the situation.” The only solution offered was $100 for the inconvenience on a room that cost approximately $400 per night. That response was incredibly disappointing. We weren’t looking for a free stay; we were looking for the comfortable, relaxing experience we reasonably expected when spending this kind of money at a historic, upscale property. The most frustrating part is that this was a stay we had genuinely been looking forward to. The Tremont House has always been somewhere I wanted to experience, and we finally splurged on the weekend—only to leave feeling like we had wasted our money. A broken toilet, followed by a room literally shaking from a ballroom event until late into the night, is not what I would consider a relaxing hotel stay. And the response from the front desk did little to make the situation better. Tremont House and Marriott, you can, and should, do better. When guests are paying $400 a night, the expectation isn’t unreasonable: a functioning room, a reasonable night’s sleep, and customer service that makes guests feel valued when something goes wrong. Sadly, this was a major letdown, and I would think twice before spending this kind of money here again.

This hotel is always great, the service is usually great, but the disgruntled employees arguing over if they were supposed to use the handicap elevator for luggage, trying to over charge for cruise parking when the website clearly says its still $100, not $160, and the shuttle driver yelling at me because the desk clearly said be there at 1145 for a 12 departure and then dropping us off at the wrong terminal in the port where we had to walk all the way down to the right one, was just off putting. There was something wrong with the AC because we were hot all night and had a terrible sleep. The room was clean and comfy and we've never had this experience here before, maybe management has changed?

There are not enough words to describe the excellent experience I had staying at the Tremont. From the moment I walked in, I was treated like family. I stayed here for 13 nights. Here are some details about my experience. Valet- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The valet drivers were all so courteous and professional. They treated me and my vehicle with the utmost respect. Mr. Roshon made sure my vehicle was ready for me when I had to leave for work early in the morning and assisted me with carrying my luggage in. Whenever I saw him, he checked in with me to see if everything was going well with the valet service and asked if there was anything I needed. Front desk- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The staff at the front desk were also so courteous and kind. They answered any question I had with the utmost professionalism and went out of their way to accommodate anything I needed. Accommodations- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the moment you walk in, the hotel even smells good. The atrium is beautiful and has a welcoming atmosphere, and a container of fruit infused water is right there when you walk in. My room was clean, well organized, and easy to find. Elevators worked well and the entire hotel is clean and well organized. Housekeeping- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Housekeeping staff serviced my room daily. They made sure I had fresh towels every day, restocked toiletries, made my bed, and even made an adorable little rosette arrangement out of tissues on my last full day of staying at the Tremont. Little things like that that just make you smile really make all the difference. But there is one thing I really want to draw attention to. I slept with my Bible in the bed next to me, and one morning I forgot it was in the bed and left it when I went to work. I arrived back at my room to find my bed made and my Bible having been carefully placed below the pillow where I slept so I would see it as soon as I walked in. The fact that housekeeping would take such care of a religious book that is dear to me truly meant so much. Facilities- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Restaurant staff were warm and welcoming. The food at Blum & Co and the rooftop bar were top notch, and the service was too. I did not eat at Toujouse Bar, but I can tell you the bar was clean, well-staffed, and that the employees behaved with professionalism towards guests. The fitness center is very clean and contains a variety of equipment. The equipment was also newer and well-organized. I was able to do laundry at The Quarters across the street, which helped me out tremendously. There is also a lot of beautiful artwork displayed around the hotel and a “mini museum” in the hallway past the reception desk that I enjoyed checking out. I would give the Tremont ten stars if I could! This was the best hotel stay I have ever had, and I hope I will be able to return one day. Thank you to the staff who made my stay such an excellent experience!

Worse service ever,... I reserved a table for 3 people adding " birthday celebration" from beginning at open table. However, the server was not aware of. I ordered 4 appetizers and had to wait over 40 min bc the server forgot the 4th one. We were seated on the aisle where all servers, bussers and even the Manager passed by many times . However, we spent over an hour with no one coming to check on us. When I asked for the check , the server finally asked if we needed another drink, so I answered; no thank you " is too late" All this time with noticable "done/finished" dishes;, no one took away the plates, left overs, nor empty glasses I asked for the Manager who acknowledged that even HIM passed by many , many times with no excuse to ignore us and acknowledged the miss- service. He removed the 3 only drinks we had from the check and apologize once again.
