**Pros:** The location is excellent and is by far the hotel's biggest advantage. The property itself was reasonably clean in common areas, the food court inside the hotel stayed open late and was convenient, and the pool area had a fun atmosphere and was well-maintained. **Cons:** Unfortunately, our overall experience was extremely disappointing. We could hear the pool music alll day with the bass particularly loud from noon to 6PM. We upgraded our room upon arrival, but the cleanliness was unacceptable. The couch appeared as though it had not been vacuumed in quite some time, and there were numerous marks and spots on the walls that could have easily been removed with basic cleaning. It gave the impression that housekeeping staff may be stretched too thin to properly maintain guest rooms. Customer service was also inconsistent. While a few employees were helpful and professional, many staff members seemed unhappy to be there and were not particularly welcoming. The most concerning issue occurred during our first night when my husband woke up with multiple bug bites up and down his leg that were not there the night before. We immediately reported the incident to the front desk and were instructed to file a report with security. The security officer who handled the report was kind and professional; however, the woman who answered the security phone line was rude and dismissive. To the hotel's credit, we were moved to a different room right away. However, the second room was also dirty. We ultimately downgraded rooms, which was acceptable, and the hotel refunded the difference in cost. Because of the bites, we were understandably concerned about the possibility of bedbugs. After repeatedly requesting an inspection for two days, the hotel finally had a pest control company inspect the room. We were told the inspection was negative for bedbugs, but despite requesting it, we never received a copy of the actual pest control report. We spent a significant amount of time trying to get answers and resolution. I personally spent approximately 2.5 hours at the front desk speaking with management. Initially, Manager Maria appeared very attentive and eager to help. She assured us on two separate occasions that she would follow up with updates regarding the investigation, but those calls never came. In hindsight, it felt as though she was telling us what we wanted to hear rather than providing honest and transparent communication. Another supervisor eventually became involved. While she was often abrupt, interrupted me frequently, and was not particularly pleasant to deal with, she was ultimately the only person who consistently followed through on what she said she would do. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, poor communication, inconsistent customer service, and the handling of a serious guest concern left us with very little confidence in the property. We would not recommend this hotel to others. My husband and I will not be returning, and we would gladly pay significantly more for accommodations to avoid having an experience like the one we had at the Flamingo.
The Flamingo has long been one if our favorite destination hotels in Vegas due to its location and amenities. The pool is always hopping on Saturdays and we have a great time. So many great restaurants are available within short walking distance, which is a huge plus.
I have stayed at the Flamingo many times over the years and my most recent trip was such a disappointment. The check in process took way too long. The room was ok but the worst part was that there was this incredibly rude worker in the Valet area. He was yelling at people in cars that were just trying to leave and the bell hop was loading our car and he started yelling at us as we were just trying to get in our car telling us that we were not the only guests in the hotel and I told him that we were just try to get in our car and he kept yelling and said he didn’t care. Absolutely horrible for a worker to treat customers that way for no reason. He did not need to speak to us that way for any reason whatsoever. Flamingo needs to do some serious training with their staff. Horribly disappointed.
The location is fantastic! We (20027) had a great room, a wonderful shower, and great beds on the 20th floor with a view of the pool and Sphere! Top notch! Expensive? ...yes...everything is ridiculously expensive in Vegas! The prices in the Netherlands make you really happy. Can of beer $14.99...hot dog with fries $19 What bothered me the most: We were going back to the airport and at the luggage storage under the hotel (we had left our luggage there for free until we had to go to the airport) we were approached by a Lyft taxi and agreed on a price of $24. Great! When settling the bill, we checked what was on the bill and it was indeed $24. At home, we saw a charge of $74!!!! So, a nice expensive taxi! There's nothing more to be done about it, so: NO LYFT TAXI!!!!! I would like to fly this over Vegas in a glider, but that is unaffordable, and Lyft is probably a fine company, but just not for us!
Overall, I like it here. Great location, rooms have been great and the staff have been great to us!! Plus the rooms for pet stays are awesome Amazing pool service. Drinks flow quickly and the bartenders are awesome!!
Perfect location for everything.
