The Crest

Lived here for 3 years. The first year and a half were great, but things changed significantly under new management (New Earth Res). Community engagement dropped, fewer events, and rooftop parties often left trash everywhere. Security has been a concern: multiple police incidents, including a 5 a.m. SWAT raid. The entry gates are frequently broken, and with a new hotel next door, street and guest parking is almost impossible to find. The hotel and convention center also cause constant traffic, making it hard to enter or exit the gated lot (which costs an extra $100/month). Rent increases are guaranteed each year, even when identical units sit vacant and listed for less. Fire alarms go off regularly, often due to people smoking. Despite inspections, the issue persists. A weed smell often seeped into my apartment through the vents from neighboring units. There are constant issues with the internet provided. It will randomly and frequently drop out. Multiple neighbors have the same issue. If you work from home this definitely isn’t the place for you. The package room has been broken into multiple times. The amenities are nice but overall, this place is no longer worth the price.

Moved here from San Diego and this place made the transition so easy. Daniel and everyone here have been great. I’ll always remember The Crest and will miss it when I leave. Moving here was meant to be and I’m glad I stumbled upon this place when I relocated to LB. Much love.

The Crest apartments are very nice!!!! I had a tour of the one bedroom apartment that was available it was beautiful!!!!High ceilings new appliances and washer and dryer combo in unit.I would definitely recommend your stay here at these luxurious apartments!!!!

This review is long overdue, if I could give them 10 stars I would. First let me start off that the application process was so smooth. We received a tour, put in an application and within 3 days were already signing a lease, they communicated so well and answered all our questions at the time. We now have a total of 8 months living here and have nothing but positive experiences. Housekeeping does an amazing job in keeping the building smelling fresh and clean. Maintenence is always on top of things we never had to wait more than a day to get our request worked on and the process is so seamless. Also every time I see one of the maintenence guys on the elevator or in the building, they are so friendly and have outstanding customer service, I can tell the Crest team really strives to make our living quarters a great experience. The common areas are always clean and well taken care of, and the tenants are all friendly, respectful and it feels like a sense of community. I love the diversity, its mostly working professionals ranging from mid 20's-30s from what I have gathered, but its a quiet and calm place, no rowdiness or any of that, if you're looking for calm and serenity this place is it. For the apartments themselves we have a huge balcony with beautiful ocean views, the soundproof windows work wonders especially on high traffic times downstairs at the Risu and Rainbow bridge. Safety wise, we have not had any personal incidents, and we have always felt safe here, there is a security guard at night and it seems like all of us really put in the work to keep the community safe, its like an unspoken The Crest neighborhood watch. Overall, I really love living here and shoutout to the crest team that has made a wonderful experience!

I had to make an emergency move when a plumbing problem made my apartment uninhabitable and I decided to move to a newer property. I found The Crest on line and connected with Daniel. Daniel did an amazing job staying connected with me, stayed late one day to show the apartment to my spouse, and got my expedited move done without issue. After issues in the past with other property management, Daniel has been a breath of fresh air.

I love living here! The new property management team has been excellent, Heather is always on top of everything!

Would give 5 stars for management / maintenance alone but deducting a star based off just the building/location. I’ve been here for a year now, Armando & Jesse were so helpful/friendly the entire time! Heather(property manager) has just joined the team but is super responsive and on top of everything! The building itself - if you’re facing Locust Ave prepare for noise all through the night. There’s a dumpster so restaurants throwing trash / glass in the middle of the night and a massive HVAC unit that runs all day and through the night across the street. The air conditioning in the apartment unit itself is VERY loud - impossible to sleep with on during the summer and if you have people over, you’re essentially yelling over the noise.

Applied here and apparently have been approved but can’t get any calls back or final paperwork. Apparently they are switching to a new property mgmt company. I don’t fault the current agents at all but the lack of response during this transition time doesn’t sit well for me that this new mgmt will fair well. As a qualified applicant this should have been the time for a best foot forward but I’ve left numerous messages and have yet to get calls back from anyone enabled to do anything. Loved the location but I’m highly doubtful this new mgmt will maintain this property or be responsive to its residents, given how poorly they’ve managed this transition phase.

Beautiful apartment when I toured and I’m excited to move in. Love the location, views, apartment space and amenities. Looking forward to calling The Crest home.

Love love love living here. Prime location, we’re in the heart of downtown yet tucked away quaintly. Major home vibes here too, not too big of a building which is perfect cause it’s cozy. We’re so grateful to have found a home here, we’ll be staying for a long minute.

As I prepare my move to California- I am very pleased with the smooth transition the leasing office offered. From the virtual tour - to receiving the lease went without a hitch . Once I arrived at The Crest and seen my apartment in person I was so excited!! Grand Prix is around the corner with views of the track and the beach! I highly recommend especially if you’re a traveling nurse looking for a location that’s affordable and close to the hospital. I have found tranquility in Long Beach! Thanks to the Leasing and Management Team.
