Love this place. Clean and honey. Nice people, great price. I'm hoping they are making upgrades to the room we stayed in these few days. It's time.

2nd review-2023 Just as great as we remembered. The owner has kept this gem in the family. His love for the property shows in how clean the rooms are kept and in the way he warmly welcomes you back. We even had the same room from our stay four years ago! Love the small refrigerator and microwave. There’s a Dunkin’ Doughnuts just down the street to grab coffee and it’s close to Matteo’s waterfront shops. Can’t wait to return! 1st review 2019-Nice no frills, clean, and quiet place to stay if you want a budget option a drive away from the beach. Just go over the bridge and you're in Nags Head. It is close to the aquarium as well.

Everyone There Is Very Friendly And Helpful

If you're looking for housing look no further. They rent to all locals no matter who and can offer a rate as low as $1000 per month even during summer months. They allow any and all pets and even kitty cats and they have a fenced in area in the back that backs up to several rooms for bonfires and lounging. You can almost always find people socializing with music playing in this area. Often times the front desk agent can be found enjoying a cold one with the guests in the evenings and sharing stories about past guests, the good the bad and the ugly. It is a much older motel so expect some rooms to have that hourly rate appeal however plenty of the rooms have been remodled. The wifi only works from outside the rooms near the office so if you are coming for quiet work related reasons stay somewhere else. They are typically extremely short staffed so it can be difficult to find someone at the desk but they are just a phone call away and will leave the key in the room for you along with a receipt. If you stay here be sure to take your trash and empty it when you leave because it's hard for the two girls to lift the heavy bags into the dumpster and it attracts flies and other unpleasant crawly creatures when they are piled up for too long. If you need a place to live or just want to party it up for a night or 3 call them. From small families to construction workers. Everyone is welcome.

The water messed up while we were there...but it was a town wide issue....the only problem I had was trying to get someone in the office....had to call every time we needed something

Very nice hotel the rooms were very clean the people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful I would definitely stay there again I was well satisfied with the rooms if you need to find a place to stay at Manteo Island I highly recommend it check them out
