The Miami Beach EDITION

The rooms are just ok. For $900/night including resort fees it should have better views (glass balcony) for oceanfront rooms. The lighting in the room is really awful. Even bedside mights don’t hold up. Oh, also room service. No service room 1am - 6am. Odd bc this is a “South Beach” hotel. Don’t need anything fancy, but a late night menu (not free menu @ 2am) would have been great.

We chose The Miami Beach EDITION because my father is a Marriott Ambassador Elite member. He paid for four rooms without using points and spent well over $30,000 for our family’s long weekend. I travel to Miami frequently and stay at five-star hotels around the world, and unfortunately this did not feel like five-star service or accommodations. The rooms felt worn and grimy compared to other luxury Miami hotels, and my parents’ AC didn’t work, forcing them to switch rooms. The Market was closed, leaving us with very limited dining options, and the food was mediocre and overpriced even by Miami Beach standards. Service was consistently disappointing. Valet acted inconvenienced when we asked for our cars, rarely opened doors, and we often had to search for someone to help us. My sister-in-law was flat-out told “no” when she asked housekeeping to return later for turndown. Most concerning, after my mother was offered complimentary glass Evian bottles, my friend and I requested the same. Instead, an employee delivering different waters walked into our room without knocking while we were undressed and showering/getting ready for bed. Completely unacceptable. At check-in, Sergio offered us a complimentary beach cabana for Saturday because no room upgrades were available despite our four paid rooms. Saturday came and the beach cabanas were sold out. They claimed they had reserved us a pool cabana instead, which we never requested. We ended up stuck in a back corner with no view or breeze, getting eaten alive by mosquitoes, despite being promised “special treatment.” We weren’t even given complimentary water. Our cabana waiter—the tall gentleman with curly hair—was fantastic and genuinely one of the only highlights of our stay. There were numerous other issues, including a 45-minute wait for my mother’s pizza because it was forgotten. After everything, management offered 200,000 points. We requested 300,000 and one room comped considering the amount spent and problems across four rooms, which they declined. To top it off, we still haven’t received the Marriott points for all four rooms we booked and paid for. For $30,000+ over a long weekend, this experience was nowhere near the level of luxury or service we expected. If you’re spending this kind of money in Miami, forget the Marriott points and stay at Faena, The Setai, or Four Seasons Surfside. The difference in quality and service is substantial.

We absolutely loved this hotel. It’s only 10 minutes up the road from the hustle and bustle of south beach - close enough to venture in if you want to but a much nicer quieter vibe being away from it all. The staff cannot do enough for you and are always ready to help you. The pool and the beach are wonderful areas and we will definitely return when we are next in Miami!

Best stay in Miami

This is a wonderful hotel. The location is superb. We stayed in a two-storey bungalow (room 256 is a dream come true). Plenty of space for the family. The rooms were cleaned daily with impeccable detail. Our room’s attendant made sure we had everything we needed. She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The overall service was top-notch, both at the hotel and the pool. The moment you sit down, there is someone to cater to your needs. Having said it all, I am a firm believer that the quality of the hotel transcends beyond one’s stay. I forgot something in the room after the check out. I reached out to the hotel and was immediately connected with the security manager - Mr. Daniel Davance. I am in awe at how quickly and professionally he dealt with my lost items. He located them immediately and walked me through the process of arranging the shipping. It’s the people like Daniel that make this hotel a place I will want to return to again and again. If you are the management of the hotel reading this review, please take a moment to tell Daniel how valuable he is to the Edition! A true gem! Overall, we had an amazing stay and will be back again in the future!

I’m an interior designer for a residential unit in this hotel and my experience with the staff, management and overall experience have been the best I’ve had so far in Miami Beach!

Spent the weekend here , celebrating my daughter’s 16 birthday. I rented a few cabanas and we had a blast. The service , the food and the atmosphere was fantastic. Nick was our server he did an amazing job , he was so personable and attentive to everyone!

My mother and I had an exceptional experience at The Miami Beach EDITION, and so much of that was thanks to Joby and the incredible team. This was my third time returning to the property and my mother’s first, and from the moment Joby checked us in, he went above and beyond to make her first stay and our entire visit truly special and one to remember. He upgraded our room to a stunning ocean-view suite, and when it wasn’t quite ready, he invited us to enjoy one of the hotel’s restaurants while we waited. He then personally came over and took care of the bill. It was such an unexpected and thoughtful gesture that immediately set the tone for our entire stay. He even walked us to our room to ensure that everything was satisfactory. Joby was a class act from beginning to end: warm, gracious, professional, and incredibly attentive. He truly understands what five-star hospitality is supposed to feel like and genuinely enjoys helping in any way he can. Whether he was making dinner reservations or simply seeing us in passing and checking to see if there was anything he could do, he consistently made us feel valued and cared for. The entire team deserves recognition as well. General Manager Tiago, Front Desk Manager Rijel, bellmen Luke, John, and Ricky, Security team member Paul, and everyone else we encountered made us feel incredibly welcome. There is a warmth among the staff here that is truly special. At this point, coming to The Miami Beach EDITION feels less like checking into a hotel and more like being welcomed back by an extended family. It’s rare to find a luxury hotel that combines beautiful surroundings and exceptional service with such genuine warmth and personal attention. This team does exactly that. Joby, in particular, is truly exceptional and an incredible representation of the EDITION brand. Thank you to Joby, Tiago, Rijel, Luke, John, Ricky, Paul, and the entire team for making our visit so memorable. This was a true five-star experience in every sense, and we cannot wait to return.
