Big Daddy's is a neighborhood gay bar on the corner of Royal and Franklin in the Faubourg Marigny. It's a classic New Orleans corner dive: dim and unfussy, with a jukebox, video poker, strong pours and a mostly local crowd. Service-industry workers come in after their shifts, and visitors drop by when they've had enough of Bourbon Street prices. Go for conversation, not a show.
