Exceeded our expectations in every possible way. Already planning our return. Stunning property, service, and product. Résonance winery down the street produces some of the best Pinot Noir.

Highly recommend a stay at Inn the Ground in autumn.  You will come away with a feeling of such peace.  Every area of this lovely lodging is restful and comfortable.  The view from your personal patio is over the bucolic sheep pasture and valley, the hills and even Mt. Hood if the conditions are right.  The sunrises are breathtaking.  Walking the forest paths is a balm for your soul.  A visit to a nearby winery (so many to choose from!) just adds to this unique adventure.  We cannot wait for our next stay in this beautiful Inn.

SUPERLATIVE!!!!!! This was a wonder for all of my senses. The Architecture, the Location, the Sunrise view of Mount Hood, the Breakfast….each item served an upgrade on how a hotel’s breakfast is defined; the chocolate cookies left out at happy hour!!!! Worth asking for the recipe! The complementary snacks in the room……the Coffee Maker!!!!! The ONLY thing better would have been to have stayed more nights……

Our stay at Inn the Ground was truly exceptional. The property boasts stunning natural beauty, complemented by well-appointed, comfortable rooms. Relaxing on our private patio while observing sheep and goats grazing was a calming experience that rejuvenated the spirit. The main communal areas are thoughtfully designed, providing guests with the flexibility to socialize or enjoy solitude as desired. An outdoor fire pit offers a peaceful setting to unwind at sunset, with deer grazing nearby adding to the tranquil atmosphere. The property features eight miles of scenic trails, rich in diverse flora and fauna, making them a must-explore for nature enthusiasts. We particularly enjoyed visiting the three donkeys and participating in a farm tour that highlighted the sustainable practices integrated into daily operations. Overall, we highly recommend this inn for its natural charm, thoughtful amenities, and commitment to sustainability. We look forward to returning for another memorable visit.

This beautiful farm and experience gave me so much peace to my well being. The staff, Frank and Brenda and their warm welcome, over the top attention to making sure we were well taken care of was beyond our expectations. I highly recommend this gorgeous part of the country.

The hotel is perched on a hillside above a regenerative farm. The entire atmosphere and decor exude a strong sense of belonging, reminiscent of a wealthy aunt's guest room in the countryside. Snacks are provided in your room upon check-in, and the front desk lady patiently guides you through the various areas. The lobby has a kitchen, sofa, and large TV. Sparkling water, fruit, and popcorn are also provided in the kitchen. It's like you can change into your pajamas anytime, lie down on the sofa, eat popcorn, and watch your favorite movie on Netflix. The hotel will send you a check-in code in advance, so even if you can't make it before 6:00 PM, you can still check in on your own, but checking in early is recommended. Several wineries are nearby, and complimentary wine testing is available. If you check in early and have more time, I highly recommend trying a few different wineries. No reservations are required; just walk in and tell them you're staying at Inn the Ground. The hotel offers a free breakfast with organic eggs, sourdough bread, yogurt bowls, orange juice/green juice (probably kale, celery, and cucumber), and baked scones and pastries. You can choose. For dinner, consider McMinnville, a small town 15 minutes away. There are many delicious restaurants there, and the atmosphere is lively and vibrant at night, with bands, crowds of holidaymakers, and street lights that look like Christmas. The entire hotel environment is truly pristine. After dinner in the restaurant, we saw a very cute baby sika deer on the way back to the hotel. It was hopping around in the direction of the hotel. Because it's far from the city and there are no lights, you can see the stars clearly. At night, you can also sit around the fire and chat with other hotel guests. There's a strange sense of belonging and familiarity, like a beautifully decorated country home you haven't visited in a while.

Beautiful and serene place to stay in the middle of wine country. We loved the communal fire pit to enjoy a glass of wine and we were blessed with the sight of several deer roaming around the property. We enjoyed a calm environment in the room and many of the details were well thought out from the way the bathroom was set up to the delicious coffee. We will definitely stay here again and again.

We spent a lovely weekend at the Inn and we will definitely be back! The food, service, ambiance, and attention to detail were all top-notch. Our room was elegant but comfy, the staff were attentive and kind, and the view from our room looked like a something out of a dream.
