Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista

I booked the hotel on Priceline and the reviews showed a decent value for this hotel located near Disney property and not far from Universal and SeaWorld. Check-in was fairly quick. There was a convenience store located in the lobby where you can purchase Disney tickets and souvenirs, as well as a game room. Housekeeping could’ve been better, as the beds were not made during my stay, despite that they kept adding towels. There was a knock on my room door pretty early one morning that I told them to wait an hour. Check-out was also fast. There were plenty of spaces to park for just $10 a night. WiFi worked fine throughout.

We arrived at the hotel around 11:00 PM, the same day we were scheduled to check in, after a long day at an amusement park. Upon entering our assigned room, we found it wasn't properly cleaned: there was hair in the bathroom, used soap, toothpaste residue, and the carpet had a strange odor. Furthermore, after lying in bed for about 20 minutes, I began to feel bites all over my body. Based on the type of reaction and the state of the room, it seemed like there might have been bed bugs or fleas in the bed. For this reason, we didn't feel comfortable or safe staying there and had to leave in the early hours of the morning to find other accommodations, with the inconvenience and extra cost that comes with booking at the last minute in Orlando. We were told that rooms are cleaned every four days, and in our case, there was no staff member available at night to properly handle the situation. The only assistance we received came from the security staff, whom I do want to thank for their help, as they tried to help us and provided us with a corticosteroid cream for the bites. They also told us that, since it's a pet-friendly accommodation, these kinds of situations can sometimes occur. In my opinion, precisely because they allow animals, cleaning and pest control should be especially rigorous, particularly before handing over a room to new guests on their arrival day. It's true that they eventually refunded our reservation, but the experience was very negative and caused us a significant problem during our trip. I'm sorry to say, but I cannot recommend this hotel.

The facilities are very old and smell bad. The service from many of the staff was far from friendly. In fact, when I asked about the breakfast included in our package, the woman in the cafeteria told us we should take some food from the refrigerator but eat it in the bar because only those who pay for breakfast eat in the hotel cafeteria. I will never return to or recommend this hotel because it is one of the worst I have ever stayed in.

Update: We have now stayed twice and the 2nd time was just as good as the first. We enjoyed the pool this time, and the breakfast was amazing! (Yes you do have to pay). Original: This was our first time staying. We stayed for 2 nights, and we would 100% stay again. Parking was cheap, and it was nice having security at the gate. We did not see any bugs contrary to other reviews. However, are there any hotels truly free from bugs in Florida? The location was good. Just under 2 miles to Disney Springs and very close to I4. It was not fun getting out of the hotel parking if you had to turn left. Doable, but not always easy. Our room was on the inside of the hotel, so it was quiet. The top floor was nice, but having to hike to and from the elevator with a sleeping 4 year old at midnight wasn't fun. Our double queen room was nice and big. It had a full size safe and mini fridge which was nice. There was plenty of room for luggage, too.

Terrible experience. Perfect location, awful cleaning. I stayed from May 29th to June 2nd. They cleaned the room on June 1st, and only after I asked several times for cleaning were the soaps not fully refilled. Horrible, the worst hotel I've ever been to. I even went back in 2023 and had a better experience than now. I don't recommend it.

For this place to be as cheap.as it was, it was really nice.

I was a part of a large group using their launchpad service after a long night of driving to Orlando for a school trip. Long story… but I left my wallet in the room, and the housekeeper, Gracieuse, found it and saved me from having to replace all my CASH, park tickets to UNIVERSAL, DISNEY WORLD, GIDT CARDs, and several days worth of meal vouchers. I couldn’t believe it, and I was so happy they have such great staff at the facility. Thanks to everyone involved and I highly recommend this place. Integrity off the charts!

We were very disappointed with our recent stay. We’ve stayed here before and have always loved the location, and most of the staff we interacted with were great, which makes this experience even more frustrating. The first room we were assigned had a soaking wet and sticky section of carpet next to the bed and wall. There was also a hair on one of the towels, no trash can in the room, and we could barely sleep because of the constant highway noise. On top of that, the air conditioning would randomly shut off completely throughout the night, making the room extremely hot and uncomfortable. The next morning, we reported these issues to the front desk, and they moved us to a new room. We had a theme park reservation and didn’t have time to inspect the room before leaving, so we simply dropped off our belongings and headed out for the day. When we returned around 10 PM, exhausted after a long day at the parks and ready for bed, we pulled back the covers and found ants all over the beds. We then had to make another trip to the front desk late at night to request yet another room. The staff member helping us was very kind and got us moved, but it was shocking that we experienced major issues in two rooms in a row. Since we were checking out the following day, we asked if there was any type of refund or compensation available. We were told a manager would review the situation and get back to us, but we never heard from anyone. We then contacted Expedia, through whom we booked the stay, and they submitted a refund request on our behalf. The hotel ultimately denied the request. After dealing with multiple room issues and receiving no resolution afterward, I don’t think we’ll be staying here again.
