Resort Descanso

I absolutely love the experience. I would go back in a heartbeat. The staff went above and beyond I were so genuinely caring and helpful. They offered excellent amenities in a very serene upscale environment. You couldn't help but just relax in such a safe space you could feel the love reverberate all around you. The rooms themselves also were quite spacious and well laid out. I highly recommend I don't think there's any other wothwhile option in Palm Springs!

This is my third visit in three years for business conventions, and every time the experience is exceptional. The level of service, care, and attention truly rivals the St. Regis in NYC. From the moment the gentlemen greet you at the front door, the personalized service is outstanding. The daily lunch selections are excellent that they provide and the attention to the quality of breakfast is impressive. They offer snacks throughout the day, afternoon popsicles, and soft drinks and fresh fruit available 24/7 — making the value nearly impossible to beat. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and tastefully designed. The pool and pool lounge area are incredible, creating the perfect place to relax after a long day. The guests are friendly, and the staff is absolutely amazing. For us, there’s simply no other choice when visiting Palm Springs than Descanso. Total first class experience.

We have stayed at Descanso for the last 3 years and made our reservations for next year the entire staff goes above and beyond and everyone is so friendly and genuine the quest also are the best we always meet new wonderful friends and Charlie the little cockerdoddle makes every one so welcomed and brings smiles to everyone he's only there a short time but what a love if you just want to relax listen to great music by the pool this is the place your looking for oh and it's in walking distance to everything

This is a lovely resort. The staff are great, the rooms comfortable and well maintained. The guests tend to be a bit more mature than other resorts so it is pleasantly quiet.

My husband and I had a wonderful week-long stay at Descanso this past week. I was looking for a relaxing and comfortable spot to forget about the real world for a few days and soak up some sun in my swim briefs and that's exactly what I got. The entire staff was quite welcoming, kind, and helpful. The room was spacious with a comfortable mattress. Breakfast and lunch (both included at no extra cost) were delicious each day. Both the heated pool and hot tub were clean and refreshing. And everything in downtown Palm Springs was walking distance (anywhere from a 5 - 45 minute walk). If you're looking for a chill and relatively quiet gay getaway in the desert, this is the place to stay!

Loved every bit of this stay - the staff, the rooms, the pool, the included list is a mile long and smiles at every turn. Can’t wait to be back - Thanks to Charles and Bob and everyone for making it so great.

For the past 30 years, I have steered clear of gay resorts because of a bad experience in my early 20s. Staying at Descanso was a risk for me - a risk that ended up helping this omnivert relax, let down his guard, and enjoy meeting strangers-now-friends in a safe environment. The place is a gem; it's beautifully appointed and the amenities top-notch. The staff is "chef's kiss", specifically Dustin and Gennaro, with whom we had the most interactions. So friendly and dedicated to our good time. The pool was clean and kept at 90 degrees all day/night. We aren't the type of travelers who go back to places we've already been, but we will be returning to Palm Springs and Descanso! And we can't wait!

The hospitality of the venue and staff out classes various hotels at held a higher price point. It was unexpected of how accomodations such as mimosas and meal service. Whereas other hotels/resorts may nickle and dime you for even opening a mini fridge door. It is refreshing to find hidden gems like this that warrants a repeat visit to Palm Springs.

I had a wonderful time staying solo at Descanso. Dustin and the entire team were incredible, friendly and helpful. The provided breakfasts and lunches were delicious and the property is wonderfully equipped and maintained. I spent the majority of my time at the pool and hot tub. The room was very comfortable. I can't wait to stay again.
