We had a wonderful experience at the Canalside Inn. We booked for SeaWitch weekend. We brought our dog with us as they are more than pet-friendly. It’s quiet and very easy to walk your dog across the street. The hotel General Manager Jennifer and the owner Bryan made us feel right at home. Coffee was made every morning. Everything was handled online and was very easy to do. You are treated like family there. Hot tub and fire pits are a plus. The owners put out beer Saturday night for the guests. Simply the best if you need dog friendly accommodations. We would highly recommend the Canalside Inn.

Fabulous!!! We loved our stay at the Canalside Inn= so clean and comfortable with everything we needed easily available, including a great hot tub and good coffee …. And dog friendly!! A perfect walk to the beach though town with many good restaurants and a great vibe✨🌿

Location was good. The owner was responsive to getting a dog to stop barking for over an hour. Nice breakfast spot around the corner. However having read other reviews it was a disappointment. The room smelled funny, old and musty. Had to pick up a clump of dog hair. Screen door was ripped, and the soap dispenser as well the shower curtain had mold. One evening the whole hall stunk of marijuana. Said is was a non smoking facility, which I would assume includes the smoking of marijuana. We didn't expect new, but the little details matter in making a stays more pleasant.

It's a very good place it's a mom and pop style but they are very friendly very considerate and will bend over backwards to help you I mean it there a wonderful place I recommend using their service if you're ever down by the ocean and need a very nice place to stay reasonable clean rooms and friendly staff 👍💞

This hotel charged nearly $500 a night (booked months in advance) and advertises itself as 4-star, but the experience was nowhere close. There was no in-person service, everything had to be handled over text. Basic amenities you’d expect at this level, and even at cheaper hotels, were missing. At the very least, fresh brewed coffee in the morning should have been standard, but instead we were left to make it ourselves. Housekeeping was the most disappointing part: the room was not properly cleaned before we checked in (we had to clean the window ledges and piles of dust properly), and even a simple request for a bathroom refresh was treated like an inconvenience. We were told things like “if housekeeping has time” or “we’ll see if they can make it work.” At this price point, guests should not feel like they’re begging for basic service.
