South King County PRIDE Alliance

South King County PRIDE Alliance is the volunteer-run LGBTQ+ community group that serves the Highline and South King County corridor — SeaTac, Burien, Tukwila, Des Moines and the surrounding airport-area suburbs. Because SeaTac has no dedicated gay bars, clubs or community center of its own, this regional alliance functions as the closest thing the city has to a queer community anchor. The group organizes and supports the wave of small, family-friendly Pride celebrations that light up South King County each June, and connects residents and visitors to LGBTQ+ resources, social meetups and advocacy across the Highline area. It works alongside the larger, more established Burien Pride (held at Burien Town Square, roughly four miles west of the airport) and Des Moines' Waterland Pride, giving the airport-hotel corridor an accessible local Pride scene without the trip up to Seattle's Capitol Hill. The alliance has no public storefront and is reachable mainly through its Facebook community, so it does not appear on Google Maps. Travelers overnighting near Sea-Tac in June will find its calendar the best starting point for what is happening close by.
