Lo que dicen los críticos

Visitors praise the hotel's terrific downtown location, especially its proximity to Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village, and often find the rooms to be sizable and clean, with some noting great views. However, a significant complaint involves issues with check-in delays and room maintenance, including dated decor, malfunctioning TVs, and noise from nearby train tracks.

Two MAJOR issues with stay here for a wedding. My friend got married and this was his preferred hotel. 1) check-in was a disaster. The whole wedding was waiting in the lobby until around 5pm. People were highly agitated. I didn’t really mind though. Rooms need cleaning and hotels get busy. I’m sure it’s a lot to juggle. 2) I rented a suit for the wedding and it came with a prepaid return package. On June 28th I spoke with the front desk and asked if they are able to ship the package out for me. They said absolutely! It’s July 5th and started seeing late fees for the return that have now added up to $100. I called the hotel and it’s just been sitting there the whole time. I spoke with the supervisor, Tess, who had let me know they don’t get picked up unless it gets called in and that it was me that needed to do that, and if I have complaints I could take it up with fedex. I don’t know proper process for this but in my eyes if their package pickup requires them to be called in, the front desk should have either called it in, or let me know I need would need to do it myself. I expressed this frustration and Tess said they’re not a shipping company and HUNG UP on me. I get that but if the front desk tells me it will be taken care of, I think most people assume it will be. Now by the time it actually makes it to the rental company, I’ll probably be out $200. To be fair I when I called back and threatened to email corporate she was nicer and made a half way effort to explain the system to me. I’m still not sure I’m going to take it that far, and this might just be my ignorance for the system and proper procedure for this stuff. Either way, hotel is at a nice location but if service and dependability are important to you, you’re not going to find it here. Hanging up on guests is unacceptable especially considering we were on the phone for no more than 2 minutes. I hate complaining and if you look at my reviews, I focus on the positive. This one needed to be known though.

Terrific location for all of the Downtown St. Louis action, and the rooms were sizable and great. Would stay there again!

This hotel in in a prime location in downtown St. Louis right next to the home of the Cardinals, Busch Stadium. Onsite parking is sparse at best, with paid street parking and paid lots nearby. One thing that absolutely disgusted me was the fact that on the Clarke Street side of the building where the dumpster is located in the wall of the building is that there is raw sewage flowing out of the building on the sidewalk and street. The smell is absolutely horrendous and you do not want to step in it if you're walking on the north side of the building there!!! I am surprised that the city has not find the Westin for this already and had them clean it up. I was also publicly shamed by one of the employees after I had a couple of drinks at a local bar nearby and was walking back to depart on the next leg of my trip. Is their opinions of people should be kept to themselves as long as no laws are being broken. For this and stink emanating from the building in dumpster I only give them a three-star rating.

Very nice downtown St Louis hotel within walking distance of the Ballpark and Ballpark Village. Rooms are spacious and clean although slightly dated and dark. They offer free breakfast for platinum elite members and have convenient self parking or valet.

Disappointing stay here. They booked us in a handicap room and never told us. I had to sit to take a shower. Our tv was failing had bad audio and a large black shadow line across the screen. We were also in a room next to the train tracks that were fairly loud coming and going. Also no mention when we checked in. The front desk apologized for all the issues and mentioned that they would ask the manager about crediting back our $50 valet parking fee but as of the writing of this review none has been issued. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Not even close . Do better Westin!

This hotel is AMAZING! The service was above and beyond, from valet to check in, bar service, guest service and beyond. Reynaldo and Tim were so accommodating. We could not have asked for better. Roy was a top notch bartender and the atmosphere during a cardinals game is invigorating! This is the place to stay in STL. You won’t regret it’
