Hyatt Place Tempe / Phoenix / University

IMPORTANT: you have to pay ~$16 for overnight parking. Not sure what the rates are for more than one night. DO NOT check out and hand the garage access card to the front desk until you have your car out - you cannot exit the garage without that card. Check out AFTER you take your car out. Had to stay in PHX for the night and needed to get a room. Rates were reasonable, staff was superb, and the overall environment is incredibly luxurious. Rooms themselves were incredibly nice, having a kitchenette and mini-fridge. Do note that there were no in-room snacks/drinks, so you would need to go to the main lobby to get stuff. I wish I had actually went to the outdoor bar they had, seemed like a cool vibe but didn't have time to visit.

The location is great if you're visiting ASU. It's also centrally located between Scottsdale and Chandler. The room was comfortable and clean, but didn't have what other hotels provide in bathroom small size soaps and body lotion or room service. 4 elevators, but only one working for 7 floors with a lot of guests.

I was here for a family reunion and we were charged a higher amount than the daily rate. When we asked if they could adjust the rate they did not. The hotel wasn't the cleanest which was disappointing since I am a Hyatt member and have stayed at several Hyatts. The front desk staff were nice though and the location was in a great location.

I stayed a week last June 2026. The remodeling has been done perfectly I think. This place share everything with Hyatt House next it. The swimming pool at the roof is quite nice, the gym is big and there are many equipments, breakfast was quite nice. The room is definitely great with new furniture and facilities. The staff were super. All staff were quite kind and nice and they recognize me so everything was quite easy and smooth. Definitely I will visit place again. Thank you.

I stayed here for four days while attending a conference hosted by ASU, and my stay was spectacular. The rooms were clean, spacious, and offered beautiful views. The breakfast was top-notch, with everything you could need. The rooftop pool and bar were truly the icing on the cake. I would definitely stay here again if I ever visit Phoenix!
