Hyatt Place at Wichita State University

The breakfast was great! They had complementary dog treats up front for our frenchie. The bar was good and stays open until 2 for adults. Plenty of seating to hangout in lobby and lounge around. The downstairs bathrooms were great! I ended up having two rooms and did late check out on one and the staff after I came back to check out of the second room gave me some things I left behind about about $80 in protein bars I accidentally left in the fridge of the room they had already cleaned so that was sooooo sweet! Ghe gentleman who works the desk during the day shift with dreads is great and his customer service was on point. Very helpful not only throughout booking but the entire stay. We will definitely be booking here again for the MAYB next year!

First of all, the staff were pleasant people, and had no problem with them. The gym to appears be nice and spacious, although we didn’t use it (in a moment you will find out why). Our tub did not drain properly, resulting in standing in a pool of water almost ankle deep that took at least four minutes to drain. this prevented us from showering as we did not want to have to take an extended shower that would result in our ankles, being covered in water from someone else’s hair or other substance. The room was quite large, but we didn’t seem to need this much space. Honestly, the biggest issue was the bathroom tub not draining properly. The bed was quite uncomfortable, felt very cheap and saggy and additionally had abnormal staining on the side. The amenities for a downstairs bar were nice to have. Overall probably wouldn’t stay here again, but not the worst place I’ve been either.

Excellent hotel in convenient location! We stayed here during my son’s soccer team’s nationals competition. Everything about this Hyatt place was stellar. Great room, quiet location, convenient to food and soccer fields. Decent, adequate breakfast and friendly staff. Everything from check-in to checkout was easy. Was very grateful we could stay here for the 5 days!

I can’t say enough good about this hotel. When I had an issue booking a room through World of Hyatt on points for my brother, the manager Mark was fantastic. The reservation did not make it from the WOH system to the hotel, although WOH did deduct my points. I talked to Mark and another person at the property, who were on top of it and stayed in touch as I worked with WOH to sort things out. We weren’t able to get the reservation all settled until an hour before my brother was to arrive. But once we did, everything was great. My brother got a great room on the first floor (his request), and Mark even comped the pet fee for his dog because of all the trouble we had. And NONE of it was the fault of Mark or anyone at the actual property. Above and beyond. Will stay there every time I am in Wichita.

Crystal is a goat of hospitality. She’s there to check up in, get receipts of prior bookings for expensing, bartending and cook. All in the same shift by herself. And is super helpful and friendly!
