La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Auburn Worcester

If all La Quintas' are like this one, it'll problem be our last stay in one. It's a very basic place. Rooms are uncomfortable because the only place to sit, other than the bed, is a cheap desk chair, TV is slow re connecting device to stream. Tub was unsafe - no non-slip feature on floor of tub, so major trip and fall hazard ( I know, because I did slip). Best hotel feature was the alwaya available hot coffee and the friendly, hard working breakfast buffet ladies.

Completely refurbished hotel that was very tired and in bad shape but it is now brand new and very nice for an affordable hotel. Plus great low rates for this area.

There are signs up all over saying there is no smoking in the hotel. Our first room reeked of cigarettes. Thankfully, the staff last night pleasantly and quickly changed our room. The hallway smells so strong of cleaning supplies/air freshener. I'm guessing to cover the smoke smell. We had headaches from all the scents in there. The staff last night were great and the lady hosting breakfast was pleasant and helpful. But the man at check out was not very friendly and somewhat dismissive.

We had a very bad experience at the nearby Comfort Inn, and decided to just leave. We went online and found this hotel was just a block away. Called reservations, got a room, and ran over with our stuff. Everything from that point on was perfect. Clean quiet room, comfortable beds, decent breakfast, and $40 less expensive than the Comfort Inn.
