  1. 1996The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina decriminalized same-sex relations in the aftermath of the war. ↗
  2. 1998Republika Srpska decriminalized same-sex relations, extending legality to the country's second entity. ↗
  3. 2003The Brčko District followed, making same-sex relations legal nationwide, while the gender equality law barred sexual orientation discrimination. ↗
