Newtown Cozy Stays (לשעבר Newtown Budget Hotel)

Awful. This place reminds me of the sort of place you used to rent by the hour in King’s cross in the 90s. The carpet stinks like something ungodly, the bathrooms reek of mould and it should be condemned and shut down in my humble opinion. Staff are absolutely hopeless and ruthless not flexible in any respect and seem to have no idea what’s going on. The only thing going for this place is its location - apart from that it’s a total dump and should be advertised as such.

If you’re just looking for a place to stay for a few nights this would be it , nothing fancy we just needed a place to stay just to get to the airport the next day it was a 10min drive . Small rooms. Near the shopping malls to which is great. BUT no parking provided there’s a map we were given where to park with no restrictions. Good luck finding parking takes a while lol Clean beds ! Great AC ! Public transportation available literally just outside the place . Lovely STAFF very kind very polite and friendly:)

A very close place to stay if you are going to the Enmore theatre but parking is hard to find

Just be aware lots of the stairs to your room, great if you are young and fit

Hotel was great, nice and tidy rooms, friendly staff, beyond helpful

Great location easy to get around the streets though had a terrible sleep as there was some pipe or something constantly banging outside on the wall all night.

I called to postpone my booking and was given an arbitrary date because their system couldn’t credit me due to it being booked through booking.com. I did not receive any email confirmation from the company. Only a text message on the date which was too late to adjust my booking. I’m now down 300 to $400 and not happy. I wouldn’t stay with these people.

Stay away from this place. We had to check out earlier because of cockroaches issues in the bathroom! We had to use the tape and towel against the door to prevent the cockroaches from getting into the bedroom.

Newtown Budget is my second home. I am a regular resident every few weeks for work (staying for sometimes weeks at a time), and this by far is one of my favourite places to stay. Staff are extremely welcoming, and the room pricing is great value. The cleanliness overall is brilliant, and the housekeeping staff are amazing at their job. Super close to so many great locations and public transport options are perfect. Also, rather close to Sydney Airport, which is even better. I highly recommend staying here to any of my friends and family who decide to come and visit Sydney.
