Amazing boutique style hotel!!

Great location and staff. Will stay again.

We stayed in room 103, it was small and dingey, felt more like a hostel than a boutique hotel. There was nothing special or boutique about this hotel or service. The team were friendly. Feel like we got cat fished for the price point. Wont stay again.

My wife and I loved staying here in Surry hills in one of our many staycations we indulge in. This time it was our 31st wedding anniversary. We love being transported back to Sydney’s old world with all its art and stories. We even wondered who were the nuns that occupied our room over 100 years ago. The front desk crew, the complimentary breakfast and superb coffee, and the art deco design made this old world bring extra life to our stay. I highly recommend the Albion and we can wait to get back there again.

I made a confirmed booking at the listed price in good faith. It was properly confirmed. After that, the hotel tried to raise the price — first by extra AUD 200, then by extra AUD 400. I told them I was willing to discussing cancellation, provided the additional costs caused by it were handled fairly rather than being pushed entirely onto me. But obviously they don't care about their own mistake, instead they abruptly rudely cancelled my confirmed booking without my permission. This wasn’t a minor correction. It was repeated pressure to pay more after the agreement was already confirmed, followed by a blunt cancellation when I refused. For a hotel that promotes itself as historic and reputable, this is extremely disappointing. When faced with their own pricing mistake, they chose to push the consequences onto the customer rather than take responsibility. A confirmed booking should mean something. In this case, it clearly didn’t. It shows a clear prioritisation of profit over principles.

We stayed at the crystal brook for 9 nights and couldn’t have been happier… I would’ve happily stayed forever! The staff were so nice, always welcoming and friendly and always saying hello or goodbye on our way in and out. Nothing was too much to ask for. Especially Chelsea… What an amazing manager you have there! The rooms are beautiful, and super clean. The housekeeping does an amazing job. We loved the decor. The rooftop was really cool and a nice place to unwind after work in the sunshine, didn’t feel like you were in the middle of the city at all! As well as the little happy hour trolley being super cute we also loved the honour bar. And the breakfast was great, some of the best pastries we have had! I think about that almond croissant daily. We highly recommend staying here and we will certainly recommend to all our friends and family when they visit Sydney. Thank you to Chelsea and her team! ☺️

Always a great stay at Crystalbrook Albion. Location is close enough to walk to the light rail and trains, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be quiet and peaceful. Rooms are very comfortable and the hotel staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Wonderful staff, quiet and very civilised place to stay. Could not recommend it more.

Excellent boutique hotel in a great location. We had an Urban Luxe room, which was a good size. The breakfast pastries and rooftop terrace were particular highlights. If we ever come back to Sydney, we won't need to look for a hotel again 😉
