Orinam

Orinam is Chennai's flagship all-volunteer LGBTQIA+ collective, active since 2003. It runs orinam.net — one of India's richest queer resource archives, in English and Tamil — and helps organise the city's biggest events, including Chennai Rainbow Pride, the Reel Desires queer film festival and the Vannangal cultural festival. Orinam offers peer support, cultural programming and advocacy, and is a first point of contact for many people coming out in Tamil Nadu.
