Hello to the hotel manager, I wanted to express my gratitude to a guy named Yasser who always smiles at people and immediately helps with any request! Best regards, Yasser from room number 823

There is no connection between the pictures on the website and what is happening in reality. Old and neglected hotel and we still sleep in the private villas. Very poor level of cleanliness. Very expensive and not worth it. In addition, the food is terrible.

We returned from a few days at the Royal Shangri-La Hotel in Eilat, after being transferred from another hotel that we had closed and unfortunately had a technical glitch (claiming that this hotel was an "upgrade"). We agreed that they would give us a room with a sea view and in-room treats. Attached is a picture of the room with the "sea" view. As for the treats - there wasn't even water in the room when we arrived. From the beginning, the receptionist wasn't particularly inviting and when we got to the room and tried to call reception we couldn't reach them - which for me is the hallucination of the hallucination of people who don't answer at reception. Maybe on the fourth or fifth call we got an answer. They moved us to a room (that's how Israelis are, if you don't insist you won't get one) that actually had a sea view. Ummm, a room without a coffee maker. It's probably either one or the other. The cleaning staff at the hotel don't speak Hebrew or English and it's very uncomfortable to communicate with them. You want to ask for soap or towels and the person looks at you like you fell from the moon. Renovations are currently taking place outside the dining room, so instead of sitting down to enjoy breakfast, you hear unbearable noise and drilling. The pool was not in use at all and no one informed us about it in advance. They only turned on the heated pool (and that was only until 4pm) even though it was 30 degrees in Eilat on the days we arrived. On our last day, we were spoiled by a power outage from 7am, and again they didn't answer me at reception so I would have the slightest idea what was going on. Instead of being able to charge my cell phone before the long drive from Eilat, we were stuck without power and at some point, for some reason, there was no more water to flush the toilet. The part about calls not reaching reception was very frustrating, not to mention what would have happened in an emergency. This is not a hotel with an elevator, this is a hotel where to get to the reception area you have to take a tuk-tuk or walk about 4 minutes down a steep hill and as a pregnant woman I didn't do it lightly because then I would have to go up all that. It didn't matter if I called from inside the room or from my private cell phone - the call would just be disconnected. In conclusion, a hotel with a lot of potential but lots and lots of points for improvement.
