Jerusalem Pride is one of the world's most politically charged pride events, held each year in a city sacred to three major religions. It has faced violent opposition — a tragic attack in 2015 killed a participant — but has continued to march each year as a statement that LGBTQ+ people have the right to exist and be visible even in the most contested of public spaces.
