The Library Foundation (TLF)

The Library Foundation traces its roots to 1990, when it grew out of the community around The Library bar on Maria Orosa Street in Malate. One of the earliest Filipino NGOs to mobilise men who have sex with men around HIV prevention and health education, TLF helped shape the country's early response to the AIDS crisis and its community-organising legacy endures through successor collectives. It is listed here for its historic ties to Malate, the traditional heart of Manila's gay community.
