I don't know why there are so many straight men in gay bars... I've been a couple of times, and out of ten tables, three or four are always large groups of people, both foreigners and locals, making a lot of noise, talking really loudly, and occasionally disturbing other tables. It really affects the atmosphere. Lesbians value their privacy and personal space, and this feels quite intrusive. I used to really enjoy Wonderland when there weren't any events, where I could chat and have a drink with friends. I really hope this can be improved so that women can feel safer.
I was completely stunned; I've never seen anything like this in my life. The argument escalated from inside the shop to the covered walkway, and finally turned into a full-blown fight, with fists and kicks flying. The most ridiculous thing is that the staff just stood by and watched the whole thing, offering no attempt to intervene or call the police. They didn't need to physically intervene, but they could have at least made a phone call or spoken up to stop it. In the end, my friend couldn't stand it anymore and called the police, and later even had to go to the police station to give a statement. Just going out for drinks and it turned into this? The shop really needs to reflect on its actions. In a situation like this, shouldn't they at least have called the police? We also told the police about the CCTV footage; they arrived, so we knew what was going on without needing to specify the date.
