Sauna @ Zing Resort & Spa

The sauna at Zing Resort & Spa sits inside the Jomtien Complex, Pattaya's densest gay bar strip, and was formerly known as Themae Sauna. It is the resort's wellness area, with an indoor pool, a steam room, a dry sauna, a locker room and a massage service. Hotel guests use it as part of their stay, and day visitors have historically been able to buy entry at the door. It is popular with gay travellers because of where it is and who stays at the resort, but it is not a men-only gay bathhouse. Reviewers note that staff in the sauna and massage areas include women, and that guests of the neighbouring hotel, women included, use the steam room and sauna. Treat it as a clean, sociable spa: there are no darkrooms or cabins, and sexual contact is not acceptable here. Listed hours are 9 am to 9 pm. Day-pass prices are not published online, so ask at reception. The big advantage is location: the bars of the Jomtien Complex are a two-minute walk away, and the gay section of Dongtan Beach is a short ride. For a dedicated gay sauna, Sansuk on Thappraya Soi 11 is about five minutes away by taxi.
