Condo Gardens Brussels

Condo Gardens is nice place close enough to the Brussels North Train station, but the prices are quite high if you take a closer look the conditions of the rooms. I don't think I am super high demanding person in terms of how a room could be, I mainly expect to be clean. Which is not how I found the room in the Condo Gardens. The office person when I left was really nice, and I think the personnel are in quite nice. But i made some pics to give an idea of what I found when I got into my room.

Terrible hotel! Very poor value for money!! Among other things: Bathroom: Bad smell Leaky shower (water everywhere after showering) Dripping toilet (noisy) and dirty Dubious electrical wiring (light held up with tape) Half-melted hairdryer, unusable; removing it would have given a better impression Bedroom: Mold stains on the sheets A wet towel Dubious electrical outlet; you get a shock when you plug in a charger Non-existent soundproofing: extremely noisy neighbors until 4 a.m., impossible to sleep Smell of stale tobacco and marijuana wafting from the neighbors into our room Living room: Doubtful heating - it hangs from the wall Unclean cupboards Unpleasant smell Kitchen: Nothing to cook with - no knife, cutting board, or salad bowl/large bowl Only two plates and a pair of cutlery, one frying pan and two saucepans The stove doesn't work properly - impossible to heat or cook anything This was (impossible to boil less than 1 liter of water on a high stovetop for over an hour, even though the water had already been heated in a kettle!!!) No sponge No hand towel No dishwashing station Refrigerator not clean enough General: Dirty floors (piece of dried apple in the middle of the room, the vacuum cleaner hadn't even been used) Bad smell / stale tobacco Ceilings in very poor condition / dirty Dust and dirty window sills Neighborhood: Not recommended at night, lots of noise Only positive point: the staff who were very kind and agreed to keep our bags until our train.

The room smelled like marijuana, with cigarettes under the bed. There was no sign of cleaning. To top it all off, they told us, "tough luck," the hotel was full. We had to spend two nights with an unbearable smell. The worst accommodation experience of my life. No solutions offered. Our room smelled like weed. There were cigarettes under one bed. Nobody gave us a solution. "You're unlucky." That's all I heard. We had to spend two nights in an apartment which was totally unacceptable.

We had two rooms...rubbish and two very dirty...very dirty bathroom, nauseating smell both in the room and in the common stairs...one room even had the fire valve closed with film...to be avoided...dirty beds and curtains and walls with stains...negative!!!!

First of all, they should clean the rooms; they're disgusting. The day someone gets sick with a fungus or something, they'll regret it. I'm just saying, I would never recommend them as an option.

I'm on my first Eurotrip, after having been to Spain and France, and this place to stay was definitely one of the best in terms of value for money. The person who helped us was very friendly. Just remember that check-in has set hours and we had to wait until 4 pm, but otherwise it was very good for a tight budget.

DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE BOOKING THIS HOTEL. I don't normally leave reviews and I'm not picky when it comes to hotel conditions but this one was the worst I ever stayed in. There is a lot of mold everywhere, you see it and you smell it, especially in the bathroom. Everything is very used and dirty. Shower cabin had hair in it, something yellow and cabin doors full of white spots. All the walls have some damage/dirt/mold on them. Bed linens had stains on them, they definitely need replacing. I had requested to change rooms when I checked in but it wasn't possible since it was late in the evening (19:00), called the reception lady to see the issues she promised me she will send the cleaning crew the next day, nobody came to clean. Horrible.

They wouldn't publish my photos of the insects wandering around in the kitchen. That's why I had to delete my review, but that's not fair to the others who don't know what to expect when they stay at this hotel. I wasn't allowed to describe it with pictures, so I'll try to put it briefly, but even here I think I'll be asked to delete the truth. The shower head was broken; water sprayed everywhere. It was dirty; we used our own towels and slept in our own clothes. There were insects in the kitchen area. The toilet smelled awful, and there was nothing we could do about it. We just tried to get up quickly in the morning and come back sometime in the evening so we would spend as little time as possible in the room. Every time you walked in, it felt like ten people had gathered there and smoked all day. We involuntarily absorbed the foul smell every single day.
