BUDQueer

BUDQueer is the main queer community group serving Ceske Budejovice and the wider South Bohemia region. Rather than running a fixed venue, it organises a rolling programme of lectures, discussion evenings, film screenings, workshops and social meetups, and takes part in the city's larger cultural events such as the Budejovice Majales student festival, the One World (Jeden svet) human-rights film festival and Literature Alive. The group also maintains an informal map of queer-friendly cafes, bars and businesses around the city, which is the most practical starting point for visitors since Ceske Budejovice has no dedicated gay bar or club of its own. BUDQueer is not formally registered as an association; its finances and donations are handled through the long-running regional organisation Jihoceska Lambda.
