BUDQueer

BUDQueer is the queer community group for České Budějovice and South Bohemia. It has no venue of its own; it organises talks, discussion evenings, film screenings, workshops and social meet-ups, and takes part in city events such as the Majáles student festival and the One World human-rights film festival. It is not a registered association, and its finances run through the regional organisation Jihočeská Lambda. The city has no dedicated gay bar, so the group's informal map of queer-friendly cafés and bars is the most useful thing for visitors. Current dates are posted on its Facebook page.
