Extremely busy to due a conference. We weren't able to use all of the facilities.

I was genuinely looking forward to writing this review, although unfortunately not for the right reasons. We booked a Family King Room with Sofa Bed for €267 per night, as my wife, our 4-year-old son and I wanted to enjoy a pleasant family stay in Prague. Considering the price of the room and the 5-star standard we expected, the experience was very disappointing. First of all, we had to wait around 15 minutes for check-in, which is not what I would expect from a hotel of this category. Then, after arriving in the room, we found a long black hair in the room, which immediately gave a poor impression of the cleanliness. There were also hairs in the bathroom, and the overall condition of the bathroom, especially the bathtub, was far from what I would expect in a 5-star hotel. We were also given an accessible room without being informed about it at reception or asked whether this would be suitable for us. I fully understand the importance of accessible rooms, but at almost 190 cm tall, I certainly did not appreciate the very low bathroom sink, especially when I had booked a specific room type at this price level. Another disappointing detail was the coffee setup in the room. In a hotel of this category, I would expect at least a proper capsule coffee machine. Across Europe, even many 4-star hotels provide Nespresso-style capsule machines as a standard room amenity. Here, the “coffee facilities” were basically just a kettle and instant coffee, which felt very poor for a 5-star hotel and for the price paid. Another unpleasant surprise was that the pool was available only for an additional charge. Even more disappointing was the condition of the pool itself. There were so many long hairs, most likely women’s hair, floating in the water that after just about 10 minutes of swimming, some of them got caught on my watch. That is simply unacceptable in a hotel that presents itself as a 5-star property. There were also stains on the carpet, which only added to the overall feeling that the room and facilities were not maintained to the standard one would reasonably expect. For a 5-star hotel, these are not small details. These are exactly the kinds of things guests should not have to deal with, especially when paying this kind of price for a family stay. Unfortunately, our experience did not match the standard, comfort or cleanliness we expected. I chose this hotel hoping for a pleasant and comfortable stay in Prague with my family, but after this experience, I definitely would not choose this hotel again.

To all couples: Please avoid the Hilton Prague Atrium. Prague is one of the most romantic cities in Europe. The Hilton Prague Atrium is the exact opposite – and I want to warn other couples against making the same mistake we did. Arrival: First impressions set the tone. After a six-hour journey – exhausted, hungry, and full of anticipation – we were greeted with the wrong room. No smile to make up for it. No upgrade. Nothing. The anonymous hallways: Soullessness at every step. What immediately strikes you and accompanies you throughout your entire stay: endless, anonymous hallways leading to the rooms – clinical, lifeless, and devoid of any character. Anyone planning a romantic weekend getaway as a couple will be disillusioned even before reaching their room. This atmosphere pervades the entire hotel and makes it clear: It was built, but no thought was given to its future. The rooftop bar: The flagship feature that doesn't exist. Cloud 9 – sounds enticing. The reality on a perfectly ordinary Thursday evening: closed for a private event. No prior notice. No apology. No equivalent alternative. We stood at a kiosk in the beer garden, drinking our beers standing up. At Hilton prices. Anyone who reserves the bar for themselves, thereby displacing paying hotel guests, could at least offer them vouchers or an alternative. Nothing. Breakfast: Stress instead of enjoyment. Our friends were turned away at the entrance and directed to another area – right in the middle of the chaos of an overcrowded breakfast room. The omelet I was served was of such poor quality that I seriously suspected salmonella – and I'm not one to make a fuss. The buffet was already being cleared away at 10:30 a.m. Breakfast time, according to the hotel: until 11:00 a.m. A bad joke. Billing: Outrageous. At the Cloud 9 Bar, my bill came to 600 crowns. I generously rounded up to 650. They charged me 750 – without comment, without even asking. Anyone who treats guests like this has no understanding of hospitality. The service: Many names, zero effect. Pavel, Marketa, Javier, Victor – the team responds quickly, writes politely, and forwards inquiries. But there's a chasm between response and solution. As compensation for all this: two beers in the lobby. I don't drink beer. No one had asked. Later came the offer of 20,000 Hilton Honors points – too late, too few, and above all: too transparent. This isn't guest care. This is damage control. Conclusion: This hotel sells a name and delivers indifference. Couples traveling for a special experience will be disappointed here – guaranteed. Prague deserves a better hotel than this. We still enjoyed our stay – not because of, but in spite of, the Hilton Prague Atrium. First stay. Last stay. And yes – I will henceforth cite Hilton as a prime example of how not to treat customers.

We waited until 3 pm for room cleaning, but when we entered, I cleaned it with a wet wipe and it was covered in black dust, the tabletop and bathroom furniture. The edges of the sink were also dusty, I don't understand how this is cleaned. There was no bottle of water or tea/coffee kettle in the room, nothing at all, at least some water could have been provided.

You will need to take a taxi to the old town, not close to anything.
