Tramp's

Nice pub. Unfortunately, like in many Berlin pubs, smoking is allowed here. But if that doesn't bother you, it's a very sociable place.

Now that proper staff have apparently been hired again, the bar is open to visitors. The music could be a bit quieter, as conversation is only possible with a very loud voice. All in all, though, it's worth visiting again.

Unfortunately, this place was absolutely not for me. First, we weren't even allowed to order a beer – for whatever reason. So we resorted to expensive long drinks, which were, at best, "okay." The place wasn't packed, and the atmosphere was generally good, but then came the real low point: you could request songs. When our song came on and the whole place was celebrating, the bartender obviously couldn't stand it and simply changed the song mid-song to something else. Instantly ruined the atmosphere. We left. Definitely not a place we'll be going back to.

At first glance, Tramp's pub looks nice; it seems to be run by the same people who own Hecht am Stutti and Schruppke on Feuerwehrstraße. Same wall decorations and many other similarities. What was really annoying was that the inexpensive beer advertised on the board outside was supposedly already sold out by early evening, and instead, we were expected to drink expensive beers... That's poor service and dishonest—advertising something cheap outside and then not having it inside, as if to say, "It's Saturday night, so we'll just drink whatever's available, even if it's expensive..." And the waiters weren't exactly the friendliest...

Very friendly staff. Worth a visit.

Great bar, quite cosy inside. Fast service from friendly staff, there are gambling machines which click q lot when played in the background and it's cash only, however it's a nice place to sit and drink.
