Very satisfied. Great food, a superb view, nice and quiet, birds chirping.

Quiet location with an outdoor terrace offering a great view of the valley. Varied breakfast. Insufficient and overpriced parking. Beautiful building, but some aspects, such as stairs and awkward angles, are outdated.

Pros: Very nice hotel complex. Large, quiet, and clean rooms. Delicious breakfast buffet. The hotel is a bit out of the way. (Good for the peace and quiet.) Cons: Parking situation. A day pass costs €22. Too expensive in my opinion. The hotel is a bit out of the way. (Not so good for activities.)

A beautifully situated hotel, very close to the university hospital.

A beautifully designed hotel with lots of greenery. The rooms are large and comfortable, with a great bed 😊, a desk, a refrigerator, and a balcony. The bathroom has a small bathtub, and a small box with complimentary items is also provided. The breakfast is very generous and lovingly presented. The Wi-Fi works perfectly. Parking and underground parking are available. The grounds are lush with greenery. The staff are all very friendly. THANK YOU 🌻

Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. The rooms are old, worn, and poorly maintained. The carpeting was also quite unsightly. At night, the radiators made a constant, loud gurgling noise, and the tap was audibly dripping, making a restful sleep virtually impossible. During our stay, the room was not cleaned at all. There were no fresh towels, and even the toilet paper wasn't replenished. On top of that, the parking fees were exorbitant at €22 per day. In our opinion, the overall experience is simply not worth the price. The only positive aspect was the hotel's quiet location.

A beautiful and idyllically situated hotel. The rooms are a bit dated, and overall, considering the price, I would deduct one or two stars – especially if you're concerned about hygiene. However, this was absolutely compensated for by Jan, the very service-oriented and friendly restaurant employee. Here, you didn't just feel like a guest.

Very disappointing experience – unacceptable staff behavior I am very disappointed with my stay at this hotel, particularly with the behavior of one of the restaurant staff members. When I politely asked for my food to be reheated, the staff member responded with a dismissive "Pfff," completely ignored me, and turned to other guests. I waited for a long time and watched as he took his time, joked around, and worked calmly – without paying any attention to me. When he finally came to the counter, I asked him again if he could help me. He reacted with obvious annoyance and said in a rude tone, "You'll have to wait!" – addressing me informally, a hotel guest, which I found extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. He then said, "I'm not leaving my other guests to serve you" – and continued to speak to me in an intimidating and condescending tone. The most important thing in a hotel is that you feel welcome and comfortable. Unfortunately, the opposite was true. My entire stay was marred by this experience, and I deeply regret my choice. I cannot recommend this hotel.

This hotel deserves no more than 1 star. The staff at the reception is rude. The furniture has long needed replacement. The photos do not match reality. We booked a room with a balcony and a view of the forest, but in the end we were given a room with a small window. This hotel is not worth its money. They only have a kettle in rooms that cost more than €200 per night. A room for €125 per night is not considered a room or money for them. We checked in at 10 PM; if it had been daytime and we were not so tired, we would have left immediately. Before booking this hotel, read the comments of other people with 1-star ratings. It’s a pity we didn’t do that earlier. Stay away from this hotel, save your money.

Restaurant Basilico at the Dorint Hotel Today was our first time at Basilico in the Dorint Hotel on Venusberg – mainly because Sergio Gomes Boto is now the head chef. We know and appreciate him from El Dorado and were curious to see how his style would manifest here. In short: The food was really good. Exactly the style we love – fresh, creative, and perfectly executed. You can immediately tell who's in charge of the kitchen. We especially appreciated that Sergio recognized us and greeted us personally – it made the evening even more special. We miss El Dorado very much, so we're all the more pleased to see him here again. We wish him all the best at Basilico! The service is friendly and attentive, but there's still room for improvement. A small suggestion: Ask about the aperitif when the menu is brought out – that would make the start much smoother. The external presentation could also be stronger: The website still seems too much like an extension of the hotel. The restaurant could definitely use a more independent presentation – and an online reservation system would be absolutely up-to-date. In conclusion: A very enjoyable culinary evening with great potential. We'd love to come back – especially because of Sergio. 💕
