Lato Boutique Hotel

We only stayed one night at this accommodation. The room was very dirty and run-down. We saw several silverfish in the room. Beware of spreading them.

Although the room appeared clean at first glance, my experience at Lato Boutique Hotel in Heraklion was extremely unpleasant. There was a strong and persistent smell coming from the water drainage pipes, and the air in the room felt heavy and stale. After I reported the issue, the staff attempted to “solve” it by pouring chemical substances into the drains, but the situation became even worse: the odor intensified and chemical fumes spread throughout the room, making the air difficult to breathe. I also had the impression that unpleasant smells were constantly being masked with excessive amounts of cleaning products, which only made the atmosphere more uncomfortable. Unfortunately, despite the elegant appearance of the hotel, the actual conditions were far below what one would expect from a boutique hotel. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Ideally located, the staff are charming and the breakfast is excellent. The view from room 201 is magnificent in the evening for an aperitif on the balcony and in the morning for coffee!
