Elia Beach

The most established gay beach on the island — 10 km from Mykonos Town on the southeastern coast. The gay-friendly zone occupies the rightmost section when you're facing the sea, where rocks and bushes provide natural cover. Active June through September, busiest on summer weekends. Get there by public bus (about 20 minutes), scooter, or seasonal water taxi.

Super Paradise Beach

Mykonos's most famous party beach — the right side is explicitly gay-friendly, and the far right section near the cliffs is where more private activity happens. By day it's sunbeds and cocktails; from late afternoon Super Paradise Club kicks in with DJs and drag shows.

Jackie O' Beach Club

Right on Super Paradise Beach — the social anchor for the gay daytime scene. Sunbeds, cocktails, food, and a crowd that's self-consciously fabulous. Transitions to evening events with DJ sets and performances.

Mykonos Town Evenings

The winding streets around the Kastro neighbourhood and near the Paraportiani Church (a cluster of five white-washed chapels from the 13th century) are a traditional evening cruising area — the narrow alleys provide cover and the foot traffic naturally concentrates here. Babylon Bar on the harbour is a starting point for the evening, with harbour views and a good-natured crowd.

Practical Notes

• Season: The island is mostly a summer destination — June through September. Outside this window many venues close entirely.
• Getting around: Scooter rental is the most practical option. Taxis are limited and often booked out. The island is small — most beaches are 15–30 minutes from town.
• Accommodation: Book well in advance for July and August. Prices are steep but there are options from hostels to boutique hotels in Mykonos Town.
• Mykonos Gay Pride — held in June, smaller than mainland events but very much in the spirit of the island
