Colonia Bolognese Beach

The stretch of free beach behind the abandoned Colonia Bolognese — near the Marano stream mouth, between the Miramare district of Rimini and neighbouring Riccione — is the coast's best-known naturist and gay cruising area, active mainly in the warmer months. It sits between the Solymar and Oasi beach bars and draws a mixed naturist and LGBTQ+ crowd by day, with discreet cruising after hours. Italy is a safe country for LGBTQ+ visitors, but this is an unmanaged public beach: keep affection and any encounters discreet, stick to daylight or well-used areas, respect other beachgoers, and take valuables with you.
