We had a HORRIBLE experience at this hotel. We checked in on Jan 1st, paying more than €1,000 per night per room. We booked 3 rooms as a group of friends, and the hygiene and service standards were completely unacceptable. The moment I entered my room and tried to drink water, I discovered the cups were dirty — clearly used and never washed. In another room, my friends found a used toothbrush hidden behind the mirror. We went downstairs to report the issue, but instead of handling it properly, the staff told us to wait in the same check-in queue, which was nearly a one-hour wait. I asked if there was a manager available to address the situation, and they told me the manager was “on vacation.” The only solution they offered was for me to email the front desk. Basically there was no customer service, the front desk has no empathy. Feels like you are not their guest. After writing the email, the response I received after 2 weeks was essentially: “....We will make sure the room is clean in the future.” That completely missed the point. I do not care whether the room will be clean in the future, because after this experience, I will never return. There was no proper apology, no compensation, and no effort to resolve the issue while we were actually staying there. No one even came to remove the dirty cups or the used toothbrush. For a hotel charging this level of pricing, the lack of hygiene, accountability, and customer service is shocking. I've called the mother company for the complaint, but no one ever responded. This hotel is over rated, not worth the price.

hands down our best stay in the whole of Norway. rooms can get a little pricey during winter, but it’s right on the waterfront, so you constantly get that mix of sea, mountains, and surreal winter snow in the background. we picked the the Junior Suite and it was genuinely perfect; it was spacious without feeling excessive, and just really well laid out so it never felt awkward or empty. everything felt comfortable in a very effortless way; i was very sorry when it came time to leave. 😅 the location is also another huge win. it’s right by the bridge so it’s super easy to cross over to the other side of Tromsø when you need to, but at the same time you’re still really close to the main centre. so you get this nice balance of being slightly set apart without ever feeling far away from anything. you’re basically already in the right place the moment you arrive in tromsø. for a winter trip with luggage and constant cold, that kind of simplicity ended up being the biggest luxury of all.

The room was perfect. It had a sea view, and everything was very nicely decorated and furnished. They even prepared macarons for us to celebrate our birthday. There was a rooftop terrace where we could see the scenery and the aurora borealis. It was really worth the price. There was a direct bus from the airport.

Very good hotel. Clean and nice. Good service and nice staff. Deducting a star for the size of the room. It was a bit small and not enough space to work on the PC. There was also no wake-up service on the TV. But besides the size it was great. Good enough size in the bathroom and a good bed.

Stayed at The Dock 69°39 By Scandic in Tromsø and honestly had a really nice experience. I booked a suite and the room was beautiful — very spacious, clean, and super comfortable. The design feels modern but still warm, and the big windows with the view made it even better. Location is also very convenient, easy to walk around the city and explore. The highlight for me was the private spa access included with the suite. You get to use the jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room privately, which was amazing after being out in the cold all day. It felt like a luxury experience and definitely made the stay more special. Overall, really solid stay. Comfortable, well-designed, and that private spa is a big plus. Would stay here again.
