Joy Club Sopot

Joy Club is the Tri-City's dedicated LGBTQ+ nightclub, in Sopot on ul. Armii Krajowej - about a 20-minute SKM train ride from Gdansk's Old Town. After the closure of the area's older gay venues, Joy Club has become the social anchor of the Gdansk-Sopot-Gdynia queer scene: an explicitly LGBT space that welcomes everyone. Weekends (roughly Friday and Saturday, 10pm until 5am) bring drag shows, karaoke, themed parties and live concerts, drawing a mixed crowd of gay men, lesbians and allies from across the metropolitan area. It is compact and community-minded rather than a mega-club, so expect a friendly, conversational atmosphere. Check the club's Instagram (@joyclubsopot) for the current programme before heading over.
