Dom EQ - Krakow Equality Centre

Dom EQ - Krakowskie Centrum Rownosci (Krakow Equality Centre) - is the city's LGBTQ+ community hub, opened on 15 June 2019 by Federacja Znaki Rownosci together with the Wiara i Tecza Foundation. It sits at Czyzowka 43 in the Zablocie/Podgorze district, a short walk from the Vistula and the MOCAK museum. The 120-square-metre centre hosts workshops, discussion groups, exhibitions, film screenings and informal meet-ups, and includes a library, a kitchen, a community garden and full wheelchair accessibility. It functions as the practical heart of queer organising in southern Poland. For visitors, Dom EQ is the best place to plug into what is actually happening in queer Krakow beyond the bars: support groups, language exchanges, picnics and volunteer projects run year-round. Federacja Znaki Rownosci, which runs the centre, is also closely tied to Krakow's annual Equality March season each May, when the city's queer calendar is at its fullest.
