על המקום הזה La Pose

La Pose has become the centre of gravity of queer nightlife in central Warsaw. The venue at Mazowiecka 6/8 runs as a restaurant and cocktail bar through the day, then flips after dark into a club whose programme reads like a queer culture listing: drag shows, ballroom nights, burlesque, karaoke and dance parties across the week. The building gives it room to breathe - three floors, so a full dance floor never swallows the quieter corners where you can actually talk. The crowd is young, mixed across the LGBTQ+ spectrum, and international at weekends; the location on Mazowiecka puts it two minutes from Luzztro and in easy walking distance of the central hotels. Check the calendar on lapose.pl or their Instagram before you go: the character of the night depends heavily on the event, from polished drag revues to open-format club nights.

Are we for real? The main attraction was a game of bingo; The drinks on the menu have incorrect serving sizes; Allergy information was generated by AI; The bar ran out of almost all its shots during the first half of the show; The main dance floor is tucked away; The arcade machines are set up incorrectly; The dance floor is almost empty. But the service is fine.

I’ve been there a couple of times before, but yesterday was truly amazing. The waiter was fantastic and so friendly. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I’m definitely planning to return.

Definitely my favourite gay club in Warsaw. Not only is it the most spacious one of them all — at least on weekends, when it offers two dance floors, three bars and an entire labyrinth of more or less cosy spots to chat with old friends or people you have just met — but the team is also simply outstanding. You can feel it from the moment you walk in, when Ola at the cloakroom handles everything at lightning speed and always kindly tries to help those who have forgotten something in the pockets of their coats. The bartenders, especially their queen Julianna, do their job insanely well, as does the rest of the staff. The crowd is wonderfully diverse — not only in terms of age, gender or nationality, but also because the place attracts some great allies, who become a refreshing part of the acquaintances you make there. It is definitely worth coming on Fridays, Saturdays, and also on Wednesdays, when from 9 p.m. to midnight the madness of gay bingo takes place — basically perfect preparation for retirement in Miami.

Two of bartenders are creeps. Both had black hair and one had a beard. I ordered a drink downstairs on Friday night/Saturday morning and the one bartender grabbed a napkin and held it on my chest to hide my cleavage claiming that the other one was new and was insinuating that he was easily distracted and I had to cover up. They both laughed about it as I got increasingly more uncomfortable. My boyfriend confronted them later and they claimed to not speak English until he put it into translate and they said it was a joke but wouldn’t happen again. Other than that the vibes and the music were great. We still had a great night but what they did was completely unprofessional and honestly so creepy considering it should be a safe space for everyone. If it weren’t for them I would recommend this place to everyone.

I would like to file a complaint about how the karaoke system is being managed at your venue. There is a clear lack of fairness in the singing rotation. People who are not signed up on the list are being given priority, while others who follow the rules and actively consume are being ignored. Some individuals are allowed to sing multiple times per night, while others don’t get a chance at all. Additionally, when this issue is pointed out, the staff responds defensively instead of addressing the concern professionally. This creates a frustrating and unwelcoming atmosphere. I expect a fair and transparent system where everyone who signs up gets an equal opportunity to participate.
