Transylvania Hostel

Transylvania Hostel is a mainstream budget hostel on Strada Iuliu Maniu, a pedestrian street in Cluj-Napoca's old town, a block from Piața Unirii and St Michael's Church. It is listed here as gay-friendly and has no stated LGBTQ+ policy. Expect dorms, a few private rooms and a shared kitchen and common area. For a backpacker budget it is about as central as Cluj gets, with the old town's cafés and bars on the doorstep. Google reviewers rate it about 4.5 from roughly 260 reviews. Cluj has a small queer community and hosts Cluj Pride; there is little permanent gay nightlife.
