A little disappointing, but ok

I wouldn't even give it one star!! The only thing in halfway decent condition is the changing area... But woe betide you if you venture into the small glass shower area; the filth and grime that surrounds you there is just a taste of what awaits you... The worst thing I've ever seen (and I've been to many saunas in different countries) is the absolutely shabby, tiny dry sauna... Nothing should deter anyone who settles in here :) The price of €25 is an absolute outrage!!! So, folks, you know what you're getting yourself into, I've warned you 🫣🫣

The same key opens different lockers. For example, key 35 opens locker 37.

My experience at Sauna Casa Nova was completely negative. The reception service was terrible, with staff unwilling to help or understand customer questions. On several occasions, I felt a lack of politeness, empathy, and professionalism. Regarding the facilities, the space leaves much to be desired. There are two dry saunas and two steam saunas, but none of them function properly—all were cold or practically unheated. The environment appears poorly maintained, in addition to an extremely unpleasant smell of urine in several areas. The jacuzzi ("pool/spa") had cold water, and the showers had no hot water. When I questioned this at reception, the employee insisted there was hot water, as if I were making up the situation, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. Furthermore, the environment seemed unsafe. There were several people apparently under the influence of drugs offering strange substances and drinks inside the premises. I strongly recommend that no one accept anything from strangers there. It's a place that has the potential to be much better, but unfortunately my experience was marked by poor infrastructure, lack of hygiene, bad service, and a feeling of insecurity. I do not recommend it.

Overall good. But some of the shower taps don't work. Some of the facilities are a bit outdated. They seem to be renovating and it looks very promising. It really is the sauna in Barcelona with the best atmosphere. A sauna pass in Malaga or Torremolinos would be ideal.

I will start with the Negatives: •No big size Towels (Means no Bear Friendly)( Body Shaming) It felt very uncomfortable. •No English speaking Receptionist ( I mean Barcelona is full of tourists ) •12€ for the anal-Duche system or you don’t get the key.( to the Manager, believe me there are alternatives to Hygiene systems and cheaper systems) •Not everywhere was clean The cleaning personal took my shoes, so they can not be stolen( that’s good ) but without a notice. I was waiting for friendlier personal. Yes Jacuzzi is big and new but there were rooms that they needed to be fixed. I was really disappointed, I stayed 30mins, paying 25€, no refund of course or some kind of customer policy, not to be dissatisfied. Personally I also found a minus that there were no Glory holes. Next time somewhere else.

I recommend visiting on a weekend. Due to scheduling constraints, I could only go around 5 PM on a weekday, and there were only about 10 people inside. Most were over 40, with some even appearing to be in their 70s. However, everyone was friendly and welcoming, even to me, an Asian person. There might be more younger people on weekends or around 7 PM. The facility itself is unique and spacious, unlike anything you'd find in Japan, with a bar and a jacuzzi in addition to the sauna. It seems people enjoy conversation in the jacuzzi before moving on to the sauna or private rooms for intimate activities. I highly recommend it for those who want to experience it with Latin American women. Incidentally, upon entering, you pay a fee (22€?) and are given a bath towel, slippers, and a locker key.

We went to Sauna Casonova on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Contrary to what we saw in other reviews, we didn't see many people on drugs (only one or two) (although it was a Tuesday, so it wasn't very crowded either). We even met some nice people. The man at reception was very unpleasant. He didn't explain anything to us, even though it was our first time. The only thing he said was, "Upstairs!" The man at the bar was quite friendly, though a bit cold at first. And then there was the overall hygiene of the place. Stains on the walls, unpleasant smells in the steam rooms, no cleaning service, and worst of all, I had the pleasure of finding a cockroach near the pool... In short, disgusting! And the price of the drinks is simply outrageous. Luckily we met some nice guys and thanks to that we had a good time otherwise I would have given 1 star because the lack of hygiene in places like this is inexcusable.

Theft from Locked Locker – Not Safe- Poor management Customer for 15 years. A personal item disappeared from a locker I had properly locked, within minutes. This happened late on Wednesday night (between Wednesday and Thursday) last week, and the sauna was almost empty. A staff member was the only person present in the area at the time. I reported the incident immediately at reception, but nothing was recorded or followed up. Instead, my behaviour was questioned and I was threatened with being permanently excluded if I insisted. I then sent an email asking to speak with the manager, whom I know quite well. I received no response. I went back in person during the day, today, and the manager gave exactly the same response: again, my behaviour was questioned and I was told I would not be allowed back. What is most striking is that the disappearance itself was not treated as important. Instead, the focus was entirely on my behaviour and what was inside the locker, from the receptionist that night to the manager today, with no attempt to properly record or investigate the incident. This is not how a serious security issue should be handled. There is clearly a problem with locker security and internal procedures. I would strongly advise caution, especially for tourists visiting Barcelona. Based on other reviews, this does not seem to be an isolated case. Very disappointing after 15 years as a customer. Follow up on Casanova sauna management’s response: Long-time customer, but this experience was unacceptable. A personal belonging was taken from my locker while the sauna was nearly empty. The only person present near the lockers at the time was a staff member observing my locker. I reported it immediately at reception. No report was taken, no procedure followed — instead, I was warned that I could be refused entry if I insisted. I sent an email afterward: no response. I came back in person: no investigation, no explanation, same reaction. No incident report, no follow-up, no attempt to review what happened (including CCTV). This is what they refer to as “procedures.” I’ll let others draw their own conclusions.

I have never in my life seen such a dirty, moldy, musty sauna with so much broken equipment (tiles falling off, the dry sauna door wouldn't close, etc.). Yes, it's cleaned, but only superficially. When we arrived, the toilets were covered in excrement. There was feces and toilet paper on the floor, and the trash can was overflowing. In the cubicles, there were condoms and empty plastic cups on the floor. The clientele was young. CONCLUSION: Never again... what a dump!
