We were three friends—two women and myself—intending to check out the place and enjoy the evening. Upon arrival, everything went smoothly: we were served at the bar and bought our drinks. However, shortly after, the staff asked us to leave, claiming that a private event was taking place. We found the situation incomprehensible and in very poor taste. If the establishment was open to the public, it makes no sense to allow us entry and consumption only to then, minutes later, expel us without a logical explanation. What truly hurts us is the underlying reason for this treatment. As a gay man, I choose to frequent these spaces seeking refuge from the discrimination and phobia of the outside world; I hope to find, above all, an inclusive environment. It is ironic and deeply disappointing to experience that same rejection in a setting that should champion diversity. Why were we made to feel out of place simply for being a mixed group looking to socialize? We maintained exemplary behavior at all times; In fact, people at other tables had invited us to sit with them, validating our presence. We left with a bitter taste in our mouths, not only because of the mismanagement, but also because of the paradox of feeling excluded in a place that should be, precisely, our common home.
David from Italy is an absolute gem! Best bar tender on the island. He really made our first visit to Noxom a great one. The layout inside lends itself to guarantee a good time. It’s clean and spacious. The drinks are reasonably priced and the other customers I met were all down to earth. David thanks again for being so kind from the second we got there!!

This has got to be one of the best bars we have ever gone to! The team here went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! Reasonable pricing for drinks. Free sweets and a fantastic large darkroom! We made amazing friends there and cannot wait to return!
